John Deere's introduction of the 9RX 830 tractor raises the bar once again. With over 900 horsepower, this tractor is not just about raw strength; it emphasizes serviceability, maneuverability, and exceptional visibility from the cab. Kelly and Johnny had the opportunity to check it out earlier this year. Watch this!

00:00 Out here today looking at the new nine RX eight 30 tractor that John Deere has brought out. 00:05 It's pretty amazing to me that we're talking about a tractor rained at slightly more than 900 horsepower. 00:10 The serviceability, maneuverability and visibility out of this cab is pretty amazing. I never thought John Deere can make a better tractor every 00:19 time they come out with a new series of tractor and they keep right to the mower, it appears to me that they did it again here. 00:24 I can't wait to get inside this camp. Drive out. All right, I'm excited to give this thing a try. Let's get in one quick thing. That's a big deal to me. 00:55 The serviceability of this tractor. I can blow out the air filter without climbing the ladder. It's ground level. I can put fuel in it, 01:02 ground level without climbing the ladder, without how holding the fuel nozzle above my head, dripping diesel on me, getting it all. 01:08 You know, you smell all day. This is a big deal to me because it's so much easier. Ground level, 01:34 The seat swivel so far to the right. The visibility out of this tractor, I've swiveled almost all the way around in this chair 01:42 with the increased visibility that they've provided. And I look back, I can see the drawbar. It might not seem like something that's big 01:48 or something that's in the marketing materials, but when you're trying to hook or unhook and implement and you happen to be by yourself 01:54 and you can't see the drawbar, it's tough and you're just kind of guessing, you know, you know when you first look at it 02:01 and you see how wide the hood is and you wonder what the visibility would be like out of the cab. 02:05 But, uh, it's great and it, the quietness of the cab, the ride of the cab here, we're sitting in a tractor with 900 horsepower. 02:13 Whoever thought that that was possible, I just, I couldn't be more impressed today with what John Deere has rolled out. 02:19 Here We are out here with John Deere looking at some of the new tractors they got coming to the market. This tractor's a lot different what I'm used to. 02:42 Uh, back home we run a lot. 8,000 series tractors, row crop tractors. This tractor, four tracks on top of that is 830 horse 02:50 with a 900 floors, 900 plus horsepower peak, uh, capacity. So you look at that, this new process that this tractor has 02:57 and stuff like that going on in, in it, it's pretty amazing what this tractor's gonna be able to do. 03:02 Um, pulling a 40 foot high speed disc right now, you know, running 12 to 14 miles per hour, kind of depending on 03:09 what we're doing and it's got the power, um, you know, it's sitting there just pretty much cruising down through here right now. 03:14 And you know, another neat thing is the integration that John Deere has going with all the different equipment it has. 03:20 You can go to the tru set through tillage and actually adjust the disk depth and stuff like that on the go to the front, the back 03:26 of the dis all kinds of things at your fingertips. So instead of having to stop, get out, work on something, just being able to make a adjust as we go through the field, 03:33 whether we're wanting to go a little deeper, a little shallower depending on what we're want to do. So for me, the um, the usability of making those adjustments 03:41 and the powers this tractor has, you know, another big features, the fuel tank. You know, if, if somebody needs a tractor like this, 03:47 they've got a fuel tank built in on board that can go all day. This application here, you go into the settings 03:53 and you just go to the ISO set up going to the tillage. You can sit here and we lower the back gang on the disc. So we're letting the rear gang down. 04:00 We went from 3, 3 7 to four seven, you know, five inches right now. So we're going five inches deep in the back gain. 04:07 We lower about six inches deep in the front, but you know, it's just all at the control of your fingertip there. 04:11 So that's about max depth on this application is about six inches deep. But just being able to make those adjustments 04:16 on the go was a big deal. And, you know, not having to get a house. Yeah, we're at max depth, we're running 12 miles per hour up 04:23 and down some hills, so, you know, I could shift up right now. We're just gonna steadily just pick up speed. 04:27 So even running at those type of depths, and like I said, you can sit there and back it back off of gear or let it back outta the ground 04:33 and it'll just sit there and maintain 12 to 14 miles per hour. So, so this, uh, that's other, other power that it has 04:40 for these type of applications. And, you know, where I'm located at, we don't have the hills like some areas 04:45 of the country dealer like Kelly does. But being able to have it if you need it, and not limit the size piece of equipment you have 04:51 because of the heels for the, the power for the heels that you need and be able to get the size piece of equipment you have and run the same 04:57 speed up and down 'em. So utilize, get that ROI up on each application. Just a pure beast. I mean, it's, it is, 05:03 it is a beast in all aspects of what it can do from the hydraulic power that it has for running different attachments, you know, 05:10 where they say 150 plus gallons a minute. You know, that's, that's big numbers when you're looking at being able to do that and maintain high speed.
