Matthews Family Farms of East Bend, North Carolina includes a 6,000-acre operation of no-till corn, soybeans, wheat, and barley, with some vertical tillage in river valley areas. Kevin Matthews' operation is primarily non-irrigated corn and soybeans but has had some yield success with pivot and subsurface irrigation as well. He is a current state corn record holder for North Carolina at 375 BPA and has also held multiple state and national yield winner titles and records in corn and soybeans. In 2022 Kevin was awarded the North Carolina Farmer of the Year.
