Chad Henderson from XtremeAg provides an update on his farm's water management strategy using ADS lift stations and Pivot Irrigation. This approach not only improves farm averages by preventing low-yield spots but also supports sustainability and environmental stewardship. By ensuring that every acre performs well, Chad emphasizes the importance of efficient water management, both above and below the ground, in achieving consistent and sustainable farm results.

00:00 Hey y'all, this is Chad Henderson with Extreme Ag and checking a lift station. So I know y'all seen me around these lift stations for, 00:07 you know, the last couple years, but we was blessed to have some good rain last night. So we got on the Ranger and we come, 00:12 come check these lift stations and make sure they're tuned up doing what they need to do and well of course they are. 00:18 You know, these lift stations run off the power that we have from the pivot base. So when we're not watering, we run these lift stations. 00:25 So we're trying to make the best of what we can with the power that we have. So this one's sitting here on auto most of the time, 00:31 and all it does is it maintains the level that we program in it for the water table, if you will, that we need in the field as it gets drier. 00:40 You know, it's sitting here now and we're in late July. Our water table is diminished most of the time here in the south. 00:45 If we steady rain, we can hold that to where we need it out there. So with this particular farm, we're irrigating on the top, 00:52 sucking the water we don't need off the bottom. So it's been a real dynamic duo for those two to work together. 00:58 And this a DS lift station and this pump system here we've got has been instrumental in making these farm averages go up 01:05 because that's what we're all about is the averages here. You know, we have a spot 01:09 or two here out here in the field, you know, that got soured out and it makes a hundred bushel corn and the rest of the field's making 01:15 good bit more corn than that. Then it makes it to where our averages are down. And you know, as farms, it's great to make high yields, 01:21 but extreme ag here, we're not as much about high yields as we are about farm averages and doing the right thing. 01:28 This thing is sustainable. This thing is for the environment and that's the things that we need out here in these fields 01:34 and on our farms, is to make this where every acre is a good acre. That's what we're looking for out of these things. 01:39 And this lift station from a DS is instrumental in that. So y'all keep up the good word. Stay with extreme ag. 01:46 Stay with water management, whether it's on top or under the bottom. Sustainability. These are key words that we need today. 01:53 We're doing them here.
