00:00 Good morning. This is Kelly Garrett from Extreme Ag. Behind me here is the field we call Richards, where the plane will be flying. 00:05 Yet this morning he's in between passes. Right now we are putting on our R two R three pass. We're excited about the potential of the field. 00:13 We've had some good weather, we've had good rainfall based on our SAP test. What's in this mix? We've got K flex 00:19 for the potassium acetate, of course, while the kernel's filling and there's a big potassium draw. We wanna fill that. We've got knockout, which is nitrogen, 00:28 potassium, and boron to fulfill those micronutrient needs even more. Potassium, we've got finish line, 00:34 which is a nice micronutrient package that Tommy's put together. And we've got Moneyball, which is a newer micronutrient 00:40 package that Tommy's put together. We've also got Lucento in here, which is a fungicide from FMC. 00:47 We have a little bit of southern rust pressure and there's some coming, there's tar spot around. Doesn't seem like it as materialized as much as we thought, 00:54 but we still, what we're making the past, we want to get the fungicide protection out there. There's a little bit of bug pressure here 01:00 and there in different spots. We don't have a lot of it yet, but it is in other fields. So we've got hero on from FMC as well. 01:07 We very much feel that uh, the fertilization in the R stages with the plane is very important. 01:13 We're trying to achieve nutritional balance. You'll notice there's no phosphorus in this mix. Based on the SAP test. We, we didn't need phosphorus system. 01:21 We had a nice load of phosphorus in that V 10, V 12 pass that I'd like to point out 01:25 that there were some comments about that V 10 pass, you know, on Facebook, some responses and stuff. People were questioning the financial idea 01:33 of this based on $4 corn, this is $32 worth of fertility and FMC products right here. 01:40 The plane is gonna cost us around $14. You know, so you're up there at a $46 total $4 corn takes 11 and a half bushel to pay for it. 01:48 I will tell you, I'm not shooting for 11 and a half bushel. I'm shooting for 41 and a half bushel, 38 bushel. 01:55 Something like that is what I expect to see out of this. If we achieve the nutritional balance that we're after, and 02:01 and again we use the SAP test to validate that. I believe that that success to me is if we hold the second year. 02:08 We've got a second year out here on most of these plants, which I think that a lot of people this year 02:13 with the weather we've had across Iowa, it hasn't been terribly hot. The heat is coming, but it hasn't been terribly hot 02:19 and we've had nice rainfall, which we haven't had for the last two, two and a half years last year at this time. 02:24 We had second years even in the drought, but we couldn't hold them. We don't necessarily know why. 02:29 I'll tell you, we had a lot of conversation about this at Egg PhD this week. Temple says it's impossible. We can't hold it. 02:36 Chad and I are very interested to figure it out. Matt Miles doesn't think we can hold a second year. I sure hope Matt and Temple aren't right, 02:42 but this is the reason we conduct research is to see, so the reason, the reason I say that success to me is, is 40 bushel and above is 02:50 because I believe if I'm successful and I can figure it out, I can hold the second ear. It doesn't take a lot of second years to, to really add up 02:57 to a lot of bushels, which will more than pay for this even in a $4 corn environment.
