Producing rice in rows such as corn, soybean, and cotton plantings was a foreign concept up until a few years ago. Matt took some old catfish ponds and is testing the viability of row rice (furrow irrigated rice). Reduced tillage passes and the ability to rotate with other row crops make it an attractive proposition.
