Got a little update here. We just finished planting the, uh, pioneer Variety plot over to my right this morning.
00:00:06
Yesterday we planted our fertility plots. So what we've got here, we've got, uh, roughly anywhere from nine to 12 acres per plot
00:00:16
with a 1.2 to 1.4 acre, uh, grower standard in between each test to, so we got a good replication of whether it really pays us
00:00:28
to do the extra work or not. So we got a, um, nature's plot that we started with up on top air,
00:00:35
and that's, uh, Dr under drip irrigation. That's here for the field day. We'll talk about all the different, uh, ingredients
00:00:42
that we have in that plot. It's pretty interesting. Uh, then we're going to come right to the middle section and we're going to have a little over nine to 10 acres of
00:00:52
reson, which is an infinity trial that we're doing, and we're going to see how that stacks up if that product pays.
00:00:59
Then we come further down and we've got a spray tech plot is, uh, roughly about 11 acres in it.
00:01:06
The way the field laid, we couldn't just get it just exactly even on every one, but we, because we wanted to have our checks in there,
00:01:13
we got checks next to ever plot. The one thing that really struck out was the conditions and um, it was amazing all these plots is we also have a
00:01:23
product nutri charge on, and then we run a product C CATT as well. But now the conditions is absolutely amazing.
00:01:33
I mean, it's just, it's just like pot and soil, really good moisture, good seed to soil contact. It's probably the best planting conditions
00:01:44
that I've ever had on this farm. We've done a lot of work on this farm, getting our cows in the mag ratios, right?
00:01:50
If you come to the field day, we're gonna talk about how we took a field. This whole entire farm had a higher mag than it did calcium.
00:01:58
Now we got a six to one ratio, and we're gonna talk about how we achieved that and how we've turned this around from this being a piece
00:02:06
of concrete to real nice top soil, something that's a, a rarity in Piedmont, North Carolina is top soil.
00:02:15
It's gonna be exciting to see. Um, it's always important, you know, we, we run a furrow force closure on this, uh, planter
00:02:22
of mine got the air pushed out. We got a good firm seed bed, and in this four inch span, you cannot find the seed trench.
00:02:31
There's no, you can't, there's no, it's just crumbles, almost like a strip till situation. Pretty impressive.
00:02:39
This land here, we do have a, we did apply bio 800 from organics on it back in, um, in, uh, late March.
00:02:47
Had boley for a cover crop. This is behind soybeans. And then, uh, they're gonna be starting on the soybeans this afternoon.
00:02:54
We'll have some agri liquids plots there. We'll have some nature's plots. Then we'll have the Pioneer Z Series variety plots as well.
00:03:04
So there's gonna be a lot of good information here. There's gonna be a lot of folks come out and John Deere different ones
00:03:10
to talk about the equipment used and what all is going on on this farm and what maybe you can take to your farm
00:03:16
and create a positive ROI because it don't matter what it, you know, what it yields. If it don't create ROI, we're wasting our time.
00:03:24
But, um, pretty excited about this. This is a man, these conditions. It is just like you walking on a sponge out here.
00:03:31
It ain't been many years ago. It is like concrete and we can actually go right over to the untreated area and it still feels like concrete.
00:03:38
It, it is just amazing what we've done for this farm over the years. Stay tuned and looking forward
