Temple Rhodes walks us through his recent magnesium acetate trials with Nachurs, aiming to fix a common issue in his high-mag soils—magnesium just not getting into the plant.

00:00:00 So we're here today. We're getting ready to start harvesting trials. Um, we got some help up here, harvesting all of the trials 00:00:05 for the field day, the labs, um, just trials in general, new stuff that we're trying this year. 00:00:11 Um, this one particularly right here, this is for Nature's. I can't wait to see what happens here 00:00:15 because in our soil type, um, and, and all of our tissue samples, SAP samples, so on and so forth, we're generally low in magnesium. 00:00:25 So we're high mag soils, but yet we can't get it into the plant. So I went to the guys at Nature's 00:00:31 and I, I presented this problem. So they came up with magnesium acetate that was put on this, the, this corn crop twice during this year. 00:00:39 So I can't wait to see what happens here. We're gonna have the data results back to you real Soon. So let's 00:00:44 go over the data now that we finished our harvest on as far as like our field day plot. 00:00:50 So we got a Field day plot, then we actually did one from Nature's, um, and put it in the, to kind of bigger production. 00:00:57 So, uh, it was 20 acres versus 20 acres of actually doing this, kind of grabbing a little bit of low hanging fruit, trying to, um, as I told you, priorly, 00:01:07 we had a magnesium issue where we're high mag soil, but yet we can't really get it into the plant. So at Natures, they made some Mag Magnesium acetate 00:01:17 and we tried it and we put it on in a couple different ways. So, you know, we actually put it on foliar twice on one 00:01:25 and then only once on the other one. Well, in the plot at my, my field day, it was like two acres versus two acres. 00:01:34 It was, you know, 32 rows wide. And we did like a couple different ones. So it was, it was replicated twice over there 00:01:41 and we're on another farm. Now again, it's, it's another farm down the road from it. And we did 20 acres versus 20 acres, a bigger plot. 00:01:49 Tried to see what it was, and we actually applied it to different applications, but it was both in applications that we were already making, 00:01:57 um, a pass anyway, so we didn't add another pass. We're just trying to grab some low hanging fruit beans that I can't get magnesium into the plant. 00:02:05 I'm trying to get some magnesium into the plant. So in the plot, it actually did eight bushels. That was put on once in a 20 acre trial over here. 00:02:14 I'm going through it right here and I know that you guys can't see it, but I will, I'll try to put this up on that video as well, 00:02:21 like just a screenshot of it so you guys can actually see it. It was actually 10 bushel. 00:02:26 So what I'm telling you is, is sometimes it's easy to find some low hanging fruit. If you can find that one problem 00:02:33 and you can get in front of that problem, maybe sometimes it'll pay off. This was a huge return on investment for us 00:02:40 because that product is really not that much money per acre to put on. So guys, um, pay attention sometimes 67 00:02:47.065 --> 00:02:48.165
