00:00:00 Hey guys, it's temp and I'm here with Burt Regan from Concept Architect. So this is my trial in my field. Dave Burt. 00:00:06 Um, we were, I wanted to concentrate on, you asked me what I wanted to concentrate on. I always want to concentrate on phosphorus 00:00:12 because of my limiting, you know, what limits us and nutrient management. So we took a look at your foliar 2020 product. 00:00:19 So we, I mean, it looked, the crop looks good and I mean, it looks like it holding up. Well, I don't have any deficiencies in my plan. 00:00:26 This isn't on a crop that we've not putting any dry fertility on anymore. Right. Well, I mean, you know, that's one 00:00:31 of the reasons why we came up with that product. Using the Transex technology, we're able to make a foliar application of nutrients 00:00:40 that typically don't penetrate through the leaf. Right. Or are even mobile once they get into the plant. That's why foliar 2020 works really well in areas like 00:00:50 where you are here in the Chesapeake Bay, where you're limited on the amount of phosphates you that you can put out in a soil pipe application. 00:00:57 Right. But being able to come over the top and make a foliar application and still get that phosphorus in there as well 00:01:06 as potassium at the same time. Yep. That kind of gives you an advantage to overcome some of the limiting factors based on where you are. Well, 00:01:14 What we were doing, and, and you know, we've always done in the past is, is I'm making an navigation with phosphorus 00:01:20 and, um, potassium all the time anyway, but it was two different products, two different totes we were dealing with it. 00:01:26 This has had, uh, foliar 2020 on it twice. Once it was early, it was like V six mm-hmm. Ramping up through that center. 00:01:33 And then again at the end it like, uh, I'm gonna guess like 1850, 1900 gdu trying to get that last, uh, bit of energy I need in the plant 00:01:42 to try to fulfill the ear. So far I'm really happy with the product. I'm really happy with what the trial has done. 00:01:48 You know, I don't know. I mean, is this, is this something that like, is is countrywide that you're using a lot of this product? 00:01:55 So does it fit every application is what I'm asking? Foer 2020 has been in the lineup for a long time. Then we started playing with it with cotton. 00:02:03 You know, a lot of people, you know, don't grow cotton and we understand that, but cotton's of a, a, a phosphorus hog when it's setting in bowls. 00:02:11 Yeah. And of course that's late enough in the season. It's Also on potassium ho It's a potassium hog as well. 00:02:17 So that's late enough in the season that a ification of phosphorus really, you're not gonna have a whole lot of time. 00:02:22 Yep. You know, and the cotton's usually big enough that you're not gonna come by and lay by. So we've been using that and as we've entered more 00:02:31 and more crops, we found it to be a very, very good source of late season phosphorus and potassium. 00:02:38 I think that's what I'm saying. The late season And, and it's a, and it's a low use rate. I mean, we're talking about a pike per acre. Yeah. So it, 00:02:45 I may or may not have used a little more in a paint per acre. Well, the reason why we stick around that is, is 00:02:51 that phosphorus, uh, is pretty hot. Yeah. Especially with the transex technology. So in order to devoid, you know, to avoid a phytotoxicity, 00:03:00 we put it at that pint level. I, I know there are people that, that will stretch it, but it depends on your environment and your weather. 00:03:07 Well, and it also depends on the crop that cycle, all that. Sure. So, I mean, I chose those two periods of influence 00:03:13 because I knew that those are the two times that I needed in this particular crop. The most, you know, I may put it somewhere a little bit 00:03:20 different on soybeans. I wouldn't have put it on, you know, during the vegetative stages I would've strung it all the 00:03:26 way out to the reproduction side. Right. Soybeans respond really well to it, uh, during grain field, uh, 00:03:32 because you know, you have to have adequate amount of phosphorus in order to make good oil. Yeah. And the oils in a soybean are phospholipids. 00:03:41 So if you don't have enough phosphorus available during that time when that oil is being formed, you wind up with light test weight and light beans. Yeah. 00:03:50 So we're gonna let you guys know how this trial, um, kind of works out for us. 00:03:54.625 --> 00:03:55.725
