Farming Video | Chad Henderson’s Efficient Planter Setup for Liquid Application | XtremeAg

5 Apr 251m 56s

Chad Henderson provides an inside look at his John Deere planter setup, designed to streamline liquid application and maximize efficiency in the field. By permanently connecting a hose between the side-tanks and the planter, Chad eliminates the need for manual disconnects when folding the equipment. With a total capacity of 1,200 gallons, the system allows continuous application across 80-100 acres per fill, reducing downtime and improving productivity. The hose routing under the tractor ensures smooth operation without manual adjustments, making this a game-changer for high-acre planting.

3 Years - Grower Standard Practice

00:00:00 I wanted to give y'all a video and a real quick look at what we got going on here. So this is a picture of our planter folded up, 00:00:06 and I don't y'all know if y'all have seen this, but John Deere comes out with this hose here. This hose goes from my tanks in the front 00:00:13 And we hook it up here Permanently. Now I know that they've gotta hook up, but we hook it up permanently because of the, 00:00:20 because of this apparatus that they made. This system here that you see right there on that first one and that second one allows this thing to fold up 00:00:30 and not have to unhook this hose. The first year I unhooked the hose down here and every time I folded up just to 00:00:35 where I could tie these tanks together. But with this system, it allows it to do that. Now, you know, that's something that you can buy 00:00:43 through parts over the counter with John Deere and it's made my life a whole lot simpler. That way I can tie these tanks 00:00:49 Together with the tank in the bag that allows me to be able to put in 1200 gallons of liquid I can feel from the back of this planter, 00:00:58 or I can feel from the front of this tractor. And at the same time, I feel both tanks and the tank on the planter and we watch 'em fell together. 00:01:06 Now, when one gets full at the back, you know, we just cut a valve off. But we come in here, we pump 1200 00:01:10 gallons on this thing at one time. That's a 80 to a hundred acre load according to what rates you're putting out. 00:01:16 And then you have this hose that runs all the way under the tractor. It ties together here and goes all the way back. 00:01:22 We never have to unhook this hose because we're able to, from some of the stuff we got from John Deere, be able to fold it out 00:01:29 and fold it up and the hose will just snake through on the frame. So if you're looking for something like this, 00:01:35 I'm a machinery type guy. I thought this was really cool. And also it allows me to get over a lot of acres in one day 00:01:41 and not be running back and forth every 30 acres to fill up or, so if you need any help with this, gimme a shout out. 00:01:45 Give a call at John Deere. Whatever you need to do to get this system to 00:01:49.595 --> 00:01:50.915
