Kelly Garrett from XtremeAg shares how his team is managing a complex herbicide and foliar mix for conventional corn. Patrick and Evans are loading up the sprayer with a blend that includes Fulltec Max and Fulltec Oil to ensure smooth mixing and prevent tip plugging. With conventional corn being more sensitive, Fulltec Oil helps reduce the risk of negative crop responses while improving weed control.

00:00:00 Hey, this is Kelly Garrett from Extreme Ag. Patrick's going out today to, uh, spray some conventional corn. 00:00:05 Him and Evans are loading up the sprayer. I just wanted to send a short video about the, the one of the spray tech products that we use, 00:00:12 or a couple of the spray tech products we use. Full Tech Max and Full Tech Oil are both going in these blends with the conventional corn 00:00:20 and the herbicide package we have plus the foliar that we're gonna put on. We feel like it's a pretty complex blend, 00:00:26 so we run the full Tech Max with the emulsifier. It just helps everything mix appropriately properly. We don't end up with any gumminess, no plug tips, 00:00:35 everything just mixes good. That's super important to us. Of course, with the complex mix of products going in there 00:00:41 to uh, to control the weeds in the conventional corn and to be able to apply the foliar that we want out there. The full tech oil, just safe everything 00:00:50 because again, it's conventional corn. It's a complex mix. The full tech oil diminishes the chance 00:00:56 of a negative crop response to any of the products going out there. And we want to do that because we, we really want 00:01:02 to get control of the weeds. Conventional corn can be kind of touchy. Obviously, Roundup Liberty, 00:01:07 all those things have made our lives easier. But when we wanna plant a non GMO corn, a conventional corn trait, I worry about that. 00:01:14 I worry about the safety of the crop and the full tech oil really provides us with that. Another thing, we don't have to worry about this, 00:01:20 but just so you know, the Full Tech oil is the same price as it was last year, but the folks at Spray Tech have added 00:01:27 a chlorine inhibitor. So like Matt Miles down there in McGee, Arkansas, he's using city Water. 00:01:32 He always struggled with biology and he didn't know why. Well, as soon as he puts the biology in that water treated 00:01:38 with chlorine, it kills the biology. Full tech oil now will control that chlorine. So the biology that we put in there is still safe. 00:01:46 That's a huge advantage for growers that are using city type water, might be treated with chlorine. 00:01:50 And then of course, a, a big advantage to us with all of the chemicals that we've got on here, all of the foliar we've got on here. 00:01:57 One challenge for us is the truck always gets full. This is a 52 foot step deck. It's always full. The concentration of the spray tech products allows us 00:02:06 to take more acres to the field at one time, more products to the field at one time. 00:02:10 And logistically, that just really helps us out. 00:02:13.195 --> 00:02:15.365
