So we're cutting some milo today. Some po like to call it sorghum, but it's historically, sometimes it's known to be hard
00:00:09
to thrash and different cover place, different small wire, large wire round bar.
00:00:16
What concave do we need? Well, we put the xpr threes from esti to a test to see how they're going to perform.
00:00:25
Did not add anything to 'em, just exactly like they are. There's no cover plates or anything.
00:00:31
35 foot might non draper head, roughly 80 to 110 bushel yield environment. Not just exceptional,
00:00:39
but the more I read, those are harder yield areas to thrash. Do a good job 'cause you're not keeping the machine as full.
00:00:46
I will tell you it is very impressive. We're running the rotor at six 60. Got the concave on eight. Pretty dang on. Good job.
00:00:53
We're gonna show you a grain tank sample here in a minute, but again, it just shows how amazing these concaves
00:01:01
and the separator grates do, not just in corn that you hear so much about in soybeans,
00:01:07
but all the crops that we've tried. We, we've done hard red, I mean, excuse me, saw Fred winter wheat.
00:01:13
We've done barley, corn, soybeans, and now sorghum. It sho beets having to put concaves in and outta this machine.
00:01:22
You simply just put 'em in and run 'em. I do encourage you to inspect them annually. Make sure that there's no excessive wire or brakes in there.
00:01:34
Anything could happen, especially if you got rocky areas or chunks of wood or something.
00:01:39
And also be sure and check to make sure they're level, because the levelness of these concaves is what dictates the performance on them.
00:01:47
But again, we're gonna show you some pictures here of the mile low in the grain tank. Um, we're gonna pull a sample out
00:01:55
right here in just a minute. That's pretty impressive. My first year growing sorghum and, um, got a lot to learn, no doubt about that.
00:02:03
However, it's been, uh, fun. We've learned a lot. We know what we need to do to really make it profitable for us in these fields
00:02:11
where we have heavy wildlife pressure. And that's where we decided to put it at. That was the reason we're growing sorghum, is
00:02:18
because the deer population is so bad here in Piedmont, North Carolina. And it's pretty interesting to see,
00:02:25
and I think there's going to be a potential for some profit here. 00:02:29.595 --> 00:02:30.205
