So we're here today. We're talking about something that we're going to use on our farm this year,
00:00:04
and I played with it in the past, but we've had a pretty good corn crop here in North Carolina.
00:00:09
We got the stalks in the past. I've told the guys out in the Midwest, you guys need something to help decompose these stalks.
00:00:16
I don't think we needed as much in our area due to our heat and our high rainfall that we have.
00:00:21
However, one thing that stood out to me this summer when I was spraying on some soybeans is I got out
00:00:28
and was walking through the soybeans and I still had a lot of corn stalks laying there that had not decomposed.
00:00:34
So what does that mean? Is that a problem? Is that good? Is that bad? Well, bottom line,
00:00:39
it's costing me money if those stalks are there, they hadn't decomposed. And all those nutrients in those stalks
00:00:44
that those plants took up are tied up in all that residue and fodder after working with whole organics.
00:00:51
The Bio 800 plus, we used it in the spring. We really liked what it done with the soil, getting that microbial action in that soil
00:00:58
and really just making the planting conditions more like a potting soil. So then we got thinking about the high cost of fertilize.
00:01:05
This year we're all faced with this high cost of fertilize going into the 2026 growing season. There's no better fertilized source out there than one
00:01:13
that a plant has taken up and, and then released back into the soil that is as good as it gets.
00:01:20
That's manure and that that there from cover crops or something. These stalks, we use fungicide here in this river valley.
00:01:28
We about have to, these stalks are very, very tough. When they get that hard, they lay there for days. This has already had a vertical tillage tool run over it
00:01:38
to crimp and tire the stalks up more. And we still got a lot, a lot of stalk there, a lot of heavy residue to deal with.
00:01:48
And what this Bio 800 is going to do is accelerate the breakdown of this. And you can see it's naturally, it's trying
00:01:55
to start decaying out. We had a three inches of rain, only this since harvest and it's trying to break it down,
00:02:02
but we will be spraying a half a gallon to the acre of the bio 800. We will start on that. It's the land's about dry enough
00:02:10
now we can run over it. We've done sowed our barley cover crop and um, hopefully we'll have a good cover crop there.
00:02:17
If you guys are thinking about your fertilized prices, wondering how to combat 'em, I would strongly urge you if you got heavy corn residue, uh,
00:02:25
heavy residue from your milo, uh, soybeans, whatever crops you grow, even if you're in the South, I would strongly urge you to look into getting something
00:02:36
to break down this residue. This right here is, um, pretty much a game changer for us if we can get rid of all these stalks.
00:02:44
Another thing we run into in the spring is planting soybeans behind the corn. These thick stalks want to get caught up in the planter
00:02:51
and they can choke the closing wheels up at times. And I'm hoping that we can get 'em soft enough and rotten enough, uh, from
00:02:58
The Bio 800 that that is not a problem and it may reduce having to run an accelerator in front of 'em or sometimes even a bush hog.
00:03:06
So, um, if you have any questions on this organics product, please let us know.
00:03:11
We'll, we'll get we or get you with the right people that can answer those questions. But I will tell you based off two years of working with 'em,
00:03:19
it's a, it's a pretty impressive product. Um, and it it's fitting well into my farm and it may possibly fit into your farm.
00:03:27
It's something you need to look at. Try small acreage first. See if it works. It's got ROI for you.
00:03:33
You don't need to be spending your money on it. 00:03:35.185 --> 00:03:38.765
