Farming Video | How Kevin Matthews Is Running Clean in 20-Inch Rows with AutoPath

8 Oct 251m 33s

Kevin Matthews takes us along for a ride in the sprayer, showing just how dialed-in John Deere’s AutoPath system is, even in 20-inch soybean rows. Running a 120-foot boom and skimming right past turn rows without knocking down a single plant, Kevin’s impressed—and you can see why. The system’s using the exact path made by the planter, and it’s tracking curve rows like it’s on rails. With RTK or SF-RTK and implement guidance in place, AutoPath’s doing what it’s supposed to: keeping tires where they belong and crops untouched. Kevin’s been running it for two years now, and he says it’s gotten even better.

00:00:01 A little auto path from John Deere. We're spraying, we're in 20 inch rows, 120 foot boom. Going across the field here. 00:00:11 We're actually on the turn rows and I want you to look at that mirror, look at that front tire staying in that 20 inch row. 00:00:19 That's where the auto path, that's pretty dang gum impressive right there. I am really pleased with it. 00:00:26 Go to John Deere and check this out. I'm telling you they got your act together. You do have to have RTK or S-F-R-T-K for this to work 00:00:35 and you also have to have your implement guidance on their planter and you know, the path that your planter makes is 00:00:42 what really makes this work so great. Pretty dead gum. Cool though we're not running over any soybeans. 00:00:49 It's amazing. So just so you can see, this is where I had to spray down. Now I'm going back in the same set of tracks. 00:00:59 You can see the auto path. There's nothing run over and this is not a straight track either. This is a curve track 'cause it's on the next to the canal 00:01:09 or get on the straight track on the next pass. But it just shows the ability that it has and how good a job John Deere has done getting this 00:01:16 technology where it absolutely is working really well. I ran it last year, it was good last year, but I believe they've really fine tuned it 31 00:01:24.205 --> 00:01:27.325
