29 Jun 251m 51s

In this video, Johnny Verell of XtremeAg walks us through his Soltellus trials in West Tennessee. He shares insights on product timing, rates, and application methods aimed at improving nitrogen efficiency and building soil biology. Johnny highlights how Soltellus supports nutrient availability, feeds soil microbes, and delivers impressive ROI, especially in lower-yield environments. He also explains the appeal of Soltellus' 2x money-back guarantee and how it's performing in both irrigated and dryland conditions this season.

00:00:00 Johnny Verell Extreme Ag. We're out here this afternoon looking at some trials that we got going on that we're doing 00:00:05 through extreme ag on different products. You know, trying to figure out the right timing, the right rates that fit our 00:00:10 operation here in West Tennessee. And today we're looking at a trial we did with Solus. Solus is kind of new. It's been out a couple years now. 00:00:17 You know, this is the first year that I've actually used it on a lot of acres. We're still doing a lot of trial work to try 00:00:21 to figure out the best timing for us and stuff like that. But you know, you got a company out there 00:00:25 that's got a product that helps you, you know, maximize your nitrogen efficiency. It also helps you cate a lot 00:00:31 of the nutrients in the soil to help feed that plant. But it's also a plant food product, so it actually helps feed the microbes in the ground, 00:00:37 stuff like that, to help build that bank of biology in the soil that we're always trying to feed and, and get better and better and help it feed the 00:00:44 plants that we're trying to harvest. So it's got a lot of things going on with it. Last year we had great results 00:00:48 that we had in the trials that I was a part of. We saw anywhere from five bushel to almost 20 bushel, depending on the yield environment. 00:00:55 And what's crazy is, is in the lower yield environment, so the stretchier type stuff. This thing really, you know, cranked out an ROI 00:01:01 for us last year, almost 20 bushels. So this year we're doing the same thing. We got it replicated, dry land irrigated. 00:01:06 We actually have it put out two by two at a half a gallon at planting. We're fixing to come back on some corn right now. 00:01:11 That's at V five, V six, that's in some plots down the road here that we're going to do a little late season application at 00:01:17 a half gallon over the top. You can do it all throughout the corns lock, basically all the way, you know, V 10 a little bit past. 00:01:23 So you got a lot of opportunities to go out there and do this. But one reason I like so Telus 00:01:27 and I really like trying products with them and using products with them on my farm, they do a two x guarantee. 00:01:32 They put their money where their mouth is. Not many companies out there will do that, but when a company will sit there 00:01:36 and guarantee you a two x guarantee on your money that you put into it, for that kind of ROI, it's hard not to use products like that on your farm. 00:01:42 'cause a lot of companies won't do it. They'll all tell you it works, but won't put a guarantee 00:01:46.115 --> 00:01:46.795
