Johnny Verell takes us out to his corn plot at an XtremeAg field day to share how Pivot Bio has earned its place in his standard practice over the past four to five years. This season, he's stacking it up against a full 240-unit synthetic nitrogen program—and the results are raising eyebrows.

00:00:00 Johnny Brill Extreme Ag. We're out here today at our field day where we do all kinds of different plots. 00:00:05 Probably 160 replicated plots out here in this block of corn. And this plot, this plot we're working on right now 00:00:12 is our Pivot bio plot. We've been using it as a standard practice on our farm for the last four or five years now. 00:00:19 It's really been eye-opening as long as you use the product the way they say use it with a nitrogen reduction. 00:00:24 It does show a good ROI. It gives us good yield results. We've got it up out here against this year, 00:00:29 full 240 units synthetic nitrogen program. And then in this pivot bio plot that we're shutting right now, it actually has 40 units 00:00:38 of nitrogen at planting with pivot bio planting, followed by a hundred units of Sidedress nitrogen 00:00:44 synthetic that's going up. So that's a total 140 units of synthetic nitrogen that's going up against 240 units of synthetic nitrogen. 00:00:52 That's a big deal. While we're seeing, right now, we're yielded the same, maybe a little ahead on sub blocks, but we'll know at the end and we'll get that data out. 00:01:00 But this has been an eyeopening applied for us this year. Really good yield results, especially 00:01:05 for the yield environment. One of the things we're contributing that to is the amount of rainfall we had early season 00:01:11 and the potential nitrogen we had lost at that point in time, versus having a product like Pivot VI that feeds that plant throughout the year. 00:01:19 We'll keep you posted and get the yield results when we get 00:01:21.965 --> 00:01:22.125
