00:00:00 Hi, this is Kelly Garrett from Extreme Ag. I'm here with Kyle Berry from John Deere. We're standing in front of a John Deere sprayer with the sea 00:00:06 and spray technology on it. We just got done with a panel that I helped moderate with four other farmers on it, 00:00:12 and it was an eye-opening experience. In short, the farmers with sea and spray technology are saying they saved enough money on 00:00:19 herbicide expenses to make the whole sprayer payment. Yeah, it's, it's pretty amazing, uh, the, the Sea Spray technology, while it may be new to some, uh, 00:00:28 we had some customers on that panel last night that have used the technology for, for two, sometimes three seasons now. 00:00:34 Um, and, and what they're seeing from a savings perspective and, and the way that they were able to, 00:00:39 to share their message last night was, was really powerful. Um, we've sprayed over a million acres with sea 00:00:45 and spray technology in this cropping season. Um, 59% savings on average, and that that savings is real to the customer, and 00:00:53 59% is a huge number. And John Deere has talked about that and, and the testimonials that those farmers gave last night. 00:01:00 One guy was 57, another guy was 62, and they're talking about it, and I was like, it blew me away. 00:01:06 Yeah. And they're finding creative ways to use it that we've, we've never even thought about. Yep. And, and that's what's really, 00:01:10 really cool about you get this technology in the hands of some really, really smart people and, and people that are the best at what they do. 00:01:17 And we, we as a company and John Deere are trying to enable, uh, them to utilize the technology 00:01:22 and unlock the most value for them on their farm. And, and for me, being there and, and hearing about some of the things that they're doing 00:01:28 that maybe we hadn't thought about, um, I thought was really powerful for, for us as a company to hear. 00:01:32 But also those intendance, And there's several of us, myself included, we pushed the envelope with it, trying 00:01:38 to see if we could trick it, trying to see if we could find the limits of it. No one has, I used it in beans, 15 inch beans 00:01:44 that were full canopy, worked perfectly. Other guys had the same type of story. It's not labeled for sorghum. 00:01:49 They said they had great success in sorghum. It was such a great story from all of them. Yeah, it was really cool. Obviously, we 00:01:55 as a company tell you what we know, um, based on our testing will work, but we also know that when product gets in the hands 00:02:01 of customers, uh, you might color outside the lines a little bit and, and try some things that, that we maybe, um, 00:02:06 today aren't telling you that you're able to do and you find some additional value. It was, they, everybody said it was an 00:02:12 amazingly positive experience. We're looking at $4 December futures on the Board of trade for the corn market, and now we're talking about making our 00:02:19 sprayer payment with some savings. What a great time to have technology like this that gives us this ROI. 00:02:24 Yeah. And I thought it was really good to talk about the, the business model behind the product and understand. 00:02:29 Um, sometimes customers have some hesitation to, to paying per acre for, for how they spray their chemicals, but, but hearing customers say, you know, even with 00:02:38 that per acre fee, um, I was able to make my sprayer payment Mm-Hmm. Um, because of the savings that I was returning on my farm, 00:02:45 uh, with the technology, I, I felt was extremely powerful. Another point that I found very interesting 00:02:49 that was brought up last night was talking about potential. And I say potential coming regulation on fertilizer 00:02:57 or herbicide use, things like that. This turns it down. We're using much less herbicide. Again, 59% less herbicide. 00:03:05 That's gotta be great when we think about potential regulations. And we don't know that they're coming, 00:03:10 but I doubt it goes backwards. I doubt it gets easier. And then we also talk about the 45 Z tax credit and a CI score 00:03:17 and always looking for ways to lower our CI score. This does nothing. No, this does nothing but help with all of that. Yep. 00:03:23 Yeah. It's, it's a technology that, that's proven to work. Um, and there's those added benefits that you just described 00:03:30 and all of the things that maybe the initial, uh, product was, was appealing to the sum because of the, the immediate savings on herbicide. 00:03:39 And that's not where the story ends. That's not where the story ends at all. Uh, the one farmer to my left last night, 00:03:44 he talked about a CSP program that he was able to get into and qualify because of this. 00:03:48 They're talking about other e equip type things and conservation type things. Kyle, some of the best technology I've seen, 00:03:54 and I can't wait to use it again this next year. Awesome. 00:03:57.005 --> 00:03:57.645
