Does My Irrigation Water Quality Change Throughout the Season?
21 Jan 251m 1s

Chad Henderson of XtremeAg outlines his 2023 focus on irrigation water quality testing to boost nutrient uptake and improve crop performance. Starting with winter samples, Chad plans to monitor irrigation water throughout the year to track quality changes and assess the need for water additives. Stay tuned for updates throughout the year.

00:00:00 Hey y'all. It's Chad Henderson with Extreme Mag, and yeah, that's probably what we're doing down here in this creek 00:00:05 where we're catching a water sample. So we're looking at these samples and I wanna test them, you know, 00:00:09 always every year I've got some different train that I'm gonna jump on and take a ride on, you know, and this year I'm gonna do a better job 00:00:16 of emphasizing on my water, you know, and, and where my irrigation water's coming from. So I wanna sample it multiple times a year. 00:00:24 You know, I wanna start now. It's, it's in the winter, you know, I wanna start now, this creek's low, and just get me a sample now 00:00:30 and then come back in a few months before we start watering and get me a sample and just make sure 00:00:33 that it's not changing through the year and see what I'm dealing with. Uh, it may be that I need to be putting more additives out 00:00:40 with my irrigation water to help take up nutrients. So that's kind of the train we're going to jump on this year. 00:00:46 And we're gonna try to do better with knowing exactly our water quality and seeing if we can make nutrient uptake better 28 00:00:55.185 --> 00:00:56.325
