Improving Double-Crop Yields with PGRS and Sugars
8 Sep 241m 5s

Chad Henderson from XtremeAg shares insights into a series of tests on double crop soybeans. The trials, conducted on 40 to 60-acre blocks, focus on improving yield through the use of products designed to increase flower retention, improve sugar movement within the plant, and ultimately boost pod numbers and yield.

00:00 Hey y'all. This is Chad Henderson with Extreme Ag and we're doing a little testing today. So when we say this test date, 00:05 there may be four different tests going on today. And when we get geared up to do that, that's the way we can simulate these things. 00:11 It'll be from 40 to 60 acre blocks, the beans just got sprayed. We're working with, uh, double crop soybeans. 00:17 We're testing hard on them. Again, we're trying to improve yield, trying to stick more flowers. 00:21 We're going into R three here. This particular field would have about four different fields of stuff, but this particular field is Corteva biologicals 00:30 and we're testing xite and sugar mover premiere. So with those two products, of course they got PTRS in 'em. Of course, the sugar mover from here, we're trying to work 00:39 that stuff up through the plant and we'll keep you posted to what we're doing. But again, we're testing PGRs sugars 00:46 and we're trying to stick more blooms. We're trying to hold more pods. Maybe make a few more bushels on these double crop 00:52 'cause it's just real hard do. A lot of times we just run outta sunlight. So we'll keep you posted. Good luck with the double crops. 00:59 Good luck with the rest of the year. Keep it safe.
