Johnny Verell shares practical insights into humic acid use on his farm, highlighting the process of selecting, preparing, and applying humic acid to enhance corn production.

00:00:00 Johnny Rell, the stream ag. You know, on our operation we're always putting out, you know, a lot of humic and I think one 00:00:05 of the biggest things farmers face is what Mick's the best one. And I always tell people, whatever works best 00:00:10 for your farm, so try 'em out. We tried several different humic. We've settled on this one right here. 00:00:15 It's just a, it's a soluble powder. We get it shipped in as a powder. We reconstituted into the liquid form. 00:00:21 And the main reason we do that, we don't like shipping water all over the country. So we get able to get a, you know, 00:00:26 a 2000 pound bag of humid brought in. We put in 2000 gallons of water and we get our ratio that we want and it's a 12% humid. 00:00:33 You need to make sure you got a good quality humid because you don't wanna stop it up, your strainers and all that stuff. 00:00:37 And so ours will go through a 200 mesh screen and we have no issues with it. It literally turns into black oil. 00:00:43 It's, it's pretty amazing what it looks like when you get it mixed up. It doesn't take us very long. 00:00:47 We got a mixing vat that does a really good job for us, but we put it out, infer, we put it out two by two. We also put it out over the top 00:00:54 and we're side dressing corn. 'cause we're always wanting to make sure we can help mitigate some of the burn that we have 00:00:59 because we use stream bars on our corn. So for us, it's just something that we use at pretty much every pass. 37 00:01:04.015 --> 00:01:05.015
