Farming Video | Building a High-Yield Corn Mix with SAP Analysis and Foliar Nutrition

21 Jul 252m 7s

Kelly Garrett and Mike Evans from XtremeAg break down their high-yield corn strategy using real-time SAP analysis to fine-tune crop nutrition. After reviewing recent SAP results, they custom-mix a foliar application with Pro-Germinator for phosphorus, Kapitalize for potassium and sulfur, LiberateCa for added calcium, and Micro 1000 for a complete micronutrient package. Calcium, they stress, is critical during the reproductive stage for seed development.

00:00:00 Hi, this is Kelly Gear from Extreme Ag here with my business partner, good friend Mike Evans. We got the helicopter right outside here. 00:00:06 We're mixing up a high yield plot for the SAP analysis to try to balance this corn crop minerally balance. This corn crop. Evans is gonna 00:00:13 tell you what we're putting in here today. Yeah. So today, uh, we got our SAPs back from earlier this week 00:00:18 that Reagan pulled, put a prescription together. We basically need phosphorous, sulfur. We're getting into reproductive phase, 00:00:24 so we need some potassium. Our favorite thing, calcium short. And then obviously micros. Calcium's always short. Yes. 00:00:29 Yeah. So that's kind of what we're going with. Need a little splash of nitrogen in there. It's a little short but not bad, 00:00:34 so we're just gonna give it a taste. Um, so yeah, we're running pro germ, um, trying to For some Phosphorus. Phosphorus. 00:00:40 We ran that last year, saw good results in the foli year application. So we're gonna run a gallon of that. 00:00:44 Then we're putting in capitalize that's got the potassium sulfur, a little bit of calcium in there. 00:00:49 And then we're running liberate ca to get more calcium out there. Calcium's really important at this time 00:00:55 as we're getting reproductive, you know, we're growing that ear. Basically need calcium available every day from here on out 00:01:01 for that cell division and the creation of the seeds. So, splash that in there. Then we're running a, a pretty good dose 00:01:06 of micro thousand on there 'cause it's got calcium mag, but it's got a suite of all the micronutrients in there. So, um, we're running that. 00:01:14 Gonna run a little bit of a complexor with it and the guys in the helicopter are gonna put her on tomorrow. Okay. 00:01:19 And I'd also like to announce that, you know, this season, you know, we've had Reagan here being our intern, and Evans 00:01:25 and I are starting a GoFundMe page for Reagan. She's exceeded our expectations. She's a wonderful young woman, 00:01:31 but when she graduates college, she's going to work with Temple. And we're a little concerned about her 'cause she's so nice. 00:01:37 And y'all know Temple. He's not, he's a bit of a challenge. Yeah. And so it's a GoFundMe page to help. 00:01:43 It's a support group for Reagan is really what it's Yeah, it is. You know, and I don't know if she's gonna buy beer 00:01:47 with the money or, or what she's gonna, aspirin. Vacation. Vacation, vacations, vacations with the money just to get away. 00:01:52 FundMe page. Just simply aspirin. But we're announcing the GoFundMe page for Reagan Riggs as a support group for working 00:01:58 with Temple Rhodes in her career choice. 00:02:01.095 --> 00:02:02.375
