Farming Video | High Nitrogen Prices Forced This Test

12 Jun 26

High nitrogen prices have everybody sharpening the pencil, and this field trial is putting N-FINITY from Agricen to the test in a real corn field—not a plot tucked behind the shed. With replicated strips across the farm and about 30 units of nitrogen cut back, the question is pretty simple: can last year’s results show up again when it counts?

00:00 Out here today, we're checking on our N-finity trial with Agrison. Pretty interesting product. We got high nitrogen prices this year, and 00:00:08 this is a product that can help mitigate that cost. And with our CECs here and the organic matter we have on this particular farm, we're able to cut back about 30 units of nitrogen, which 00:00:19 is a pretty big deal when you're looking at the cost per gallon now. But what we've done here, 00:00:25 we're standing in an actual N-finity area. So we got four passes with a planter with N-finity, then we've got three passes, which will give us 00:00:35 120-foot strip on each side with no N-finity. And we do this replicated all the way across this entire field right here. We want to do this in a real farming environment, and this 00:00:47 is just like anything you do on your farm, and it gives us excellent testing to see how this product performs. 00:00:54 Last year, it was very remarkable what we've seen with it. The key is can we replicate it? One advantage it does have this year is the 00:01:01 high nitrogen cost, so it's going to give it a big advantage to produce an ROI when you can cut back that 30 pounds. 00:01:09 We're going to see how it works out. Y'all stay tuned. But the corn's looking great. We're getting ready to come in and do a post-emerge application. And we'll just keep giving you some videos and 00:01:19 see how this works 00:01:20.619 --> 00:01:25.959
