Farming Video | Boosting Bean Yields with Fulltec Cube & Fungicide Pairings

18 Jun 253m 10s

Chase Garner from Spraytec teams up with agronomist Jacob Appleberry in McGee, Arkansas to walk through a soybean plot treated with Fulltec Cube. They break down the timing and benefits of applying Cube around the R2.5–R3 stage, especially in areas with known disease pressure like frogeye. Whether it’s replacing a fungicide or being used alongside one, Cube adds valuable nutrition—nitrogen, phosphorus, boron, sulfur, and copper—to boost plant health and stress tolerance. The two highlight how this approach not only improves coverage down the canopy but also enhances chlorophyll production and pod development for the potential of 100+ bushel beans.

00:00:00 Hey guys. Chase Garner, Southern Territory sales rep for Spray Tech down here in McGee, Arkansas. Today I'm here with Jacob Berry live Oak Agronomy. 00:00:06 Um, we're in our bean plot. We're looking at, uh, looking at some different applications that we're gonna play. 00:00:12 The next application we're gonna put on these beans. But, uh, I wanna hop on here a little bit, talk a little bit about, uh, a product that we have. 00:00:19 It's fungicide time. Uh, that product fits right in, right in line with that. It's our, it's our cube product. 00:00:25 I like to put this product out that R two and a half, R three stage. So with that product, if you're not running a fungicide, um, 00:00:32 this product will replace that and act as a fungicide. If you are running a fungicide, I like to pair it, um, with your fungicide. 00:00:40 A lot of times we can get by with running a cheaper fungicide with this product and it adds a lot of fertility to your, to your application. 00:00:46 So we're in an area right here that has a lot of frogeye, um, and we've seen that the last couple years, um, on this, 00:00:54 on this particular farm. So, um, this year we ran, we ran the fungicide with our cube. So with the cube, um, you're getting some nitrogen, 00:01:02 some phosphorus, um, you get some boron, some sulfur, and you get some, uh, copper with it. Really good for plant health, plant stress. 00:01:10 Um, Jacob, if you wanna talk a little bit about what you're, what you've kind of seen with, with these beans. 00:01:15 The thing about the natural about plying copper is being a natural fungicide and then being able to pair it 00:01:20 with the fungicide, um, gets you a really wide spectrum of, of control. Not just worrying about, um, frogeye, 00:01:28 but all the other diseases that can come up in this. And like we were talking about earlier, having a, a bacterial protection on top of that, 00:01:34 fungal protection is just a all around useful tool to be able to make sure that, that you're not losing anything to a fungal disease. 00:01:41 And with the fertility being aspect being in there, you're getting that part translated through the plant a lot better than just fungicide. 00:01:47 You know, whatever leaves you hit is whatever leaves you got protected. Yep. So being able to put the fungicide out there 00:01:53 and protect those new leaves that are coming out, you know, that, that we're looking at that are, you know, 00:01:57 the freshest, newest leaves to give you the most chlorophyll. Being able to translocate on down into the plant. 00:02:02 And in this particular instance where we've got, still got some sunlight going into the canopy, maybe 40 to 50% down Yeah. 00:02:08 In the canopy, being able to look at that and, and cover more leaves at one time. 'cause they're still giving you some chlorophyll return. 00:02:16 Yeah. Maybe not as much as these new leaves. Yep. They're still giving you some chlorophyll return to create more pod opportunities 00:02:22 and more bloom opportunities and fill those out later on in the season, which hopefully does what we're gonna look 00:02:26 for is a hundred, a hundred plus bushel beans. Absolutely. Absolutely. And, you know, sticking to, sticking to spray text, uh, our design, you know, 00:02:34 very low use rates for this product. Absolutely. Looking at easier, you know, uh, by itself you run four ounces. 00:02:39 Mm-hmm. Pair it with your fungicide, you're looking at 2.7 ounces. So that's been, that's been a hot ticket this year too, 00:02:44 as guys using jugs instead of, instead of uh, toes. So we're excited, uh, like I said, these beans are, these beans have been sprayed with cube. 00:02:53 Um, the next application we're just sitting here discussing our next application at, at around that R five. 00:02:58 So, um, if y'all have any questions, feel free to reach out to me, Jacob, um, and we'll get you covered. 84 00:03:05.955 --> 00:03:06.245
