9 Jul 251m 28s

Chad Henderson of XtremeAg shares a boots-on-the-ground update on his double-crop soybeans just 15 days after planting. With years of experience pushing the limits of double cropping, Chad emphasizes that planting date is king—but only if emergence is fast and strong. That’s where his use of hopper box treatments, including Power Plant with a shot of NutriCharge, is making a real difference. He breaks down the role of early root development, phosphorus uptake, and how to stay ahead of weeds in fast-growing beans.

00:00:00 Hey y'all, this is Chad Henderson with Extreme Ag and we're sitting here looking at some double cropped beans. Y'all, these was planted 15 days ago, 00:00:08 and that's what we're talking about. You know, I've, I've had a real passion for double crop beans over the last four 00:00:14 or five years, 10 years, but four or five I've pushed really hard and what we've steamed 00:00:19 to understand is still there's, it's hard. We can't beat plant date, okay? Number one, you can't beat plant date a day's a day, 00:00:25 and that day is better than the next day, but that bean has to come outta the ground. It, it's no good if you planted that bean on June the first, 00:00:32 but you didn't get it up till June the 10th. Heck, June the 10th, the date. So we gotta do all we can 00:00:38 to get these outta the ground blowing and going. With that being said, we've been using the power plant box on these soybeans, 00:00:45 and it's really just to get that other root development and get that structure going and get this plant outta the ground in a hurry. 00:00:51 And we're, we're really liking what we're seeing out of these beans. We're 15 days in and they're blowing 00:00:56 and going, so we have to keep ahead of them, whether it be a failure spray the weeds, I mean, the weeds are higher in the beans here. 00:01:03 You know, we've just been through one of those wet spells and we gotta get these things sprayed and going, 00:01:08 but we just really like, again, where we're headed with these hopper box treatments, particularly the power plant treatment. 00:01:15 It has a, has a shot of nutri charge in it. We've always known that that's been good for the phosphorus uptake. 39 00:01:20.945 --> 00:01:24.285
