00:00:00
Hey guys, it's temp. I'm here with, uh, Bert Regan from Concept Agritech, and I kind of went to him
00:00:04
and I, I I, I asked a question, Bert, what is so much different about, we've tried different deer deterrents for years
00:00:11
and you know, we've always had this constant problem of, you know, you put it on where we are
00:00:17
and where a lot of people are, you know, on the East coast, but all really all across the country.
00:00:21
You know, we get a heavy shower, rain in the spring. We get these freak thunderstorms, we get two inches of rain that a product that we applied a lot of times is upwards
00:00:31
of $20 an acre and it's immediately gone. So like, we're not getting anything out of it. And we've went through these constant struggles
00:00:37
and I know that we've talked about this for quite a few years. So you came up with a product.
00:00:41
So can you tell me like how yours is different than everybody else's? Sure. So essentially what we did was we went
00:00:49
and we took a look at plants in a natural environment that deer just simply don't feed on and tried to figure out why they didn't feed on them. So
00:00:58
You're talking about like you went to the woods where Yes. Or like some of the brush
00:01:01
and some of the brows that they just never touch. That's correct. You're Looking at Them. Yeah, that's
00:01:07
correct. And I also taught, I've got some wildlife biologist buddies and I consulted with them.
00:01:12
And so what we did was we found out, we identified several different plants that, uh, behave this way.
00:01:18
You know, that, that the deer won't predate on. We were able to actually get, uh, essential oils or plant extracts from those Right.
00:01:26
You know, certain species. We were able to put 'em together and then introduce our Trans Max technology into it.
00:01:33
That's the game changer. The Tmax technology allows those essential oils, those aromatics that, that make the deer's nose, you know,
00:01:42
run, you know, kinda like you getting hit with tear gas or something. They don't really like to be around that environment.
00:01:48
The Tmax gets all of those into the plant. So you've changed the whole thing. Like it's not gonna wash off
00:01:54
No two hour rain fastness. It's in the plant. What we've seen on average is about 21 days.
00:02:00
And so every time the plant is respiring, it's putting those aromatic compounds out into the air. So You're getting 21 days out of it.
00:02:09
A lot of the other deer deterrents that are out there, like what they have, they say the same thing.
00:02:13
Like, you know, we are getting 20 to 25 days somewhere in that range, but that's if the everything's perfect.
00:02:20
Correct. Like, you know what I mean? Like, we don't get a rain, you have certain weather, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:02:26
Like, and sometimes, like what I find is, is I only need like 20 or 30 days to get it to like grow away from 'em.
00:02:34
Like that's my biggest problem. So what, what we've seen is, is that if you have enough foliage, uh, a couple
00:02:41
of true leaves, maybe the first tri foliage, that's enough to get the product into the plant.
00:02:47
You gotta have decent coverage. We never really thought about it as with an infra application,
00:02:53
but we're tinkering around with it. And what we've seen is, is that To try to pull the essential oils
00:02:58
and get it immediately right. So that way when it pops Off, that's part of my problem. Like with soybeans, you know, you get the cod leading up,
00:03:04
they nip that cod leading off, right? Then you got this bean plant that's trying to push these little tates out and the,
00:03:10
and the leaves on it is never get as bigger than the squirrels here, right? Like they're tiny, there's nothing
00:03:15
and it'll never make anything. So if we could get, if you, if you like, master that to a point where we could put it in furrow,
00:03:22
I mean this could be a huge game changer for these guys. 'cause that's, I mean, think about the millions and millions
00:03:28
and millions of dollars that are wasted because of wildlife pressure. Right now we have on the label, uh, a, a ground applied
00:03:37
or surface, you know, broadcast. Right? We have seen some efficacy there. Unless of course you wind up with a big flood
00:03:44
after it, there's nothing for it to hold along because the transex technology works on living tissue, which is why we started looking at the infer.
00:03:51
And so, you know, if you want to try it, infer a give us a call, we'll kind of kind of talk to you about your soil type and whatnot, right?
00:04:00
To kind of help you choose the right rate, infer a uh, 'cause it is different for soybeans than it is corn. What we've seen so far, right?
00:04:07
We're also looking at the possibility of down the road even trying it as a seed treatment. Well, I mean we, I, if anything that we, that we do,
00:04:16
we see in this new technology that's coming and we see some of these things that are, is a massive help us at CMF Ag
00:04:23
and uh, me as a farmer, like I want fool with the stuff that kind of separates the men from the boys. And I feel like this is one of those things that kind
00:04:30
of separates the men from the boys. We talk about crop protection all the time. Mm-hmm. You know, whether it's fertility,
00:04:35
whether it's a fungicide, whether it's insecticide. And we haven't played in this realm. I know that there's a bunch of companies out there
00:04:41
that claim that they can do this, but I have actually seen this. I've had, you've sent this to me for three years now, um,
00:04:48
for f testing and you know, this is the first year that us at CMF Ag we're selling some of it and it seems to be really working.
00:04:54
I sent some to Harrisonburg, Virginia and they were seeing 130, 140 deer in the field and now they'll see two or three, maybe two or three.
00:05:03
So I mean, it's making a massive difference that that rate there. It's started out with, um, 20 gallon purchase
00:05:11
and I've sent a pallet down there to those guys. So I mean, that's what they're seeing and that's only been, that's in two weeks.
00:05:17
Right. So guys, if we can help you out at CMF Ag or give concept Packer tech a call, um, this product really is one of those ones
00:05:24
that we're promoting at CMF and at on my farm as well. And it's because these are the kind of products that separate the men from the boys.
