Farming Video | Boosting Bean Yields from the Ground Up

7 Sep 253m 14s

Chad Henderson heads north to join Sam Coutu at his field day in Quebec, where they dive into the results from a Spraytec trial plot. The guys talk through how they used Fulltec Cube, Boron Max, potassium products, and adjuvants to push healthier, more resilient soybeans. Chad shares what he’s seeing across the country and how these lower-ounce Spraytec products keep punching above their weight. With dry conditions and different seasonal swings, they’re seeing strong branching, thicker stalks, and healthy plant recovery. It’s a boots-on-the-ground look at what’s working and what’s worth testing back home.

00:00:00 Hey, we're at Sam Chu's Field Day here in St. Norbert, Quebec. And I've got my friend Chad Harrison. I've got Sam, and I've also got Justin Mo with Spray Tech. 00:00:07 This is the spray tech plot. What did you do in this plot and what are we trying to learn? 00:00:12 I did, um, PLE fo, I did BOEN Max twice. I did Cube and um, K. Yep. What are We trying to do Here today 00:00:23 in our, in our adjuvant too, right? Yeah, Adjuvant one. Every pass You expect to see what you hope to see. 00:00:27 So just Build, make beans, More pods, more beans, more bushels, right? That's right. Uh, 00:00:32 but we are just building the, building the healthy plant from the start, you know, plus holier when the herbicide pass, uh, 00:00:38 helping that bean recover. And we got full tech Cube, EC K and our boron max at flowering. 00:00:42 Getting in there, building a healthy plant. You know, if you can combine all those micros, aminos, the stuff that we got in our product, 00:00:48 build a healthy plant from the start, we can fend off diseases, bacterial infections from the beginning. So, yep. Chad, 00:00:53 You were up here last year for his, uh, event. You've been here now a little bit. What are you seeing that's different from last year? 00:00:58 Or what are you excited about when you look at this? Well, you know, we just keep looking over the, over the country and a lot of things we've gotta see 00:01:04 with spray tech is cube just keeps, it keeps showing his face, you know, it just keeps showing out. 00:01:08 We was at Johnny Barres Field Day and we look at Frogeye, you know, and, and a plant and where we didn't have it as much. 00:01:13 We cube, you know, and we look at things like that with its fungal cidal properties, as you would call it, you know, with the copper in it. 00:01:19 So we're always excited about it, you know, the adjuvant, it's just tried and true. Um, the k we're leaning on that k real hard right now, 00:01:26 trying to figure out its spot, you know, we, to get a farmer to wrap his mind around a four ounce K product, 00:01:32 It's a little hard. It's A hard, so, so, you know, and, and me, I'm not a four ounce guy, but I'm working toward it. Hi, my name's Chad. I'm trying to do four ounce work anyway, 00:01:40 so, so, you know, that's the kind of stuff we we're looking for and we're anxious to see out of, out of spray tech, you 00:01:44 Know. Yep. Yeah. And that four ounce, you gotta give the four ounces a try. Once you see our products, that two ounce, uh, two 00:01:49 to three ounce adjuvant rate, the four to five anou, five and a half ounce, you know, uh, nutritional rates. 00:01:54 Once you get that out in the field and see it work, it's pretty awesome. It Is out. Have you seen anything 00:01:58 so far that excites you or anything that disappoints you? No, uh, more exciting than disappointing. And 00:02:04 We had, and we Had pretty dry, pretty drive here For this summer year. Yeah. Okay. So last year we went from nine inches, 00:02:11 the water in a day on August 9th, uh, to a drought this summer. So every season are different. 00:02:18 Uh, this year I really like the branching, the stock diameter. It's pretty strong. Yep. This 00:02:25 A building that has branching Is good. Yep. And For our people south of the border, we are in Quebec, so we're a little bit north. 00:02:31 When will these beans run through the combine? I would say mid to October. Okay. And we're here. All good. So this is a zero one bean 00:02:39 Zero. This, this one's uh, zero five. Zero five. Yeah. I've got, we're a little bit north. You don't See that in Alabama? I had some of them last 00:02:46 week anyway, they made it in a week. Alright, stay tuned for the results. That's what we always do here at Extreme Ag. 00:02:51 We bring these field days to you if you can't attend, although you should attend, if you can number hundreds of videos just like this to help you learn and farm better. 00:02:58 And you can do that on Extreme Ag Farm also on our website.
