Farming Video | Ethos & Xyway Trial Setup | XtremeAg

8 May 251m 43s

In this field trial video, Chad Henderson demonstrates how he’s testing FMC's Ethos and Xyway for corn disease control in a late-April planting on river bottom ground. Using a segmented tank setup, Chad applies Ethos in-furrow at 5 oz/acre and Xyway 2x2 at 15.2 oz/acre. The trial includes combinations of both products, each product alone, and a standard mix to compare effectiveness. Efficient switching between tanks allows for rapid treatment changes across the field. The goal is to evaluate performance across different application methods and product combinations.

00:00:00 So we talk about how we're doing trials. You know, today let's take a look at this Tractor Lan, kind of how we're set up here. 00:00:06 We got infer tank, uh, four loads, one tubby, two tank, and then two more Tubby, two tanks. So the particular trial 00:00:13 that we've got going on in River bottom today is ethos and uh, xw. So those products are from FMC. 00:00:20 The ethos goes in furrow at a five ounce rate. XY way goes into two by two at 15.2 ounce rate. We put a regular mixture in this tank 00:00:29 and then we put the XY way in those two tanks and we put the ethos in two of those tanks and left a regular mix in another two. 00:00:36 So we figured out that it has about two acres to run out the hoses, so we'll kind of switch on the other end of the field and run back. 00:00:43 So we're switching valves all the time. It's been real handy for us to do that. So when you come back for the XY way 00:00:49 and we're down here in the river bottoms, we're here planting in late April. So we're gonna give it its best chance 00:00:55 of holding all those diseases that all come true and come in on the tail end of the se. So that'll take care of that in our tube by two 00:01:02 and we may end up trialing coming back and putting some out with a wide drop as well. But that'll be yet to be determined. 00:01:08 And then the ethos for putting it in furrow. So we're done a strip out here that rot already got that way and then nose XY way and then XY way and ethos, just ethos. 00:01:18 So we're trying to give it all roundabout figure to see which one and which combination will work best for us. 00:01:23 But, but other thing, having multiple tanks on here, it's easy to start just turning bowels to get everything we needed out. 00:01:29 So this is what it takes. You want be an extreme mag. This is kinda what it takes to do the trial work that we do. Y'all hang in there with us. 00:01:36 It's a lot sometimes, but we try 00:01:38.145 --> 00:01:39.025
