Enhancing Harvest Efficiency with Hopper Tank Extensions

Johnny Verell from XtremeAg discusses the advantages of equipping their combines with Demco hopper tank extensions to boost harvest efficiency. By adding 100 bushels of capacity, these bolt-on extensions reduce the frequency of stops for unloading, enabling longer runs in the field.

00:00:00 Johnny Rell the extreme ag. You know, we're out here today, we're working on our combines, getting 'em ready to trade 'em off for the year. 00:00:05 And one thing we added to a couple of our combines this year with the Demco Hopper tank extensions 00:00:09 and we were just trying to figure out how we can get over a little more ground without having to stop and unload. 00:00:13 Because a lot of times we're running multiple combines in the field and it always works out. 00:00:16 The combines get full at the same time or you can't quite make it to the end of the field and you're having to back up 00:00:21 and cut out a spot for the grain cart to come in. And so we added the Demco hopper tank extensions and for a deer combine like where we're running, you know, 00:00:28 it's a hundred bushels what it added. And it's real simple to do. Boats ride on takes just a little bit of time to do 00:00:34 and we're actually gonna take 'em off and put 'em on next year's combine. Just 'cause when I was talking to my guys, they wanted 00:00:39 to use what we already had here and they just thought it'd be easier to do, you know, is just take these off and put 'em on the new one. 00:00:44 So it's a real easy bolt On addition, you know, you just bolt on some extensions on the back and in the corners there you add black canvas in just little 00:00:52 extensions onto them and that's all you do to add the a hundred bushel on too. We went in there, reset all of our sensors, 00:00:56 so they do when a hundred percent full was and everything was simple to do. So for us it's just the time it gives you 00:01:02 to give you a little bit longer harvest time when you're going through the field, not having to stop and dump. 00:01:05 And like I said, we're running multiple combines. We actually put these hopper tanks on two combines and on two of 'em we did not. 00:01:10 And that way it kind of made 'em where they stay out of sink a little bit more. Next year we're actually probably gonna run 'em on all the 00:01:15 combines just because how easy it was to add onto and honestly taking 'em off hadn't been too bad either. So it's just been a pretty easy process for us to do 00:01:23 and been a very good, high quality product. Hadn't had any issues when we bolted 'em on. This is one thing we use that we didn't have to do anything 00:01:29 to once we added it to the combines. And that says a lot nowadays, a lot of times you get stuff and it doesn't line up just right or you get stuff 00:01:36 and it starts falling off 'cause stuff right, you know, gets loose on us. But this right here was bolted on from the beginning 55 00:01:41.525 --> 00:01:42.525
