00:00:00 Cottage cheese versus Clarity. We're at the Vibe Crop Protection booth at Commodity Classic, and we're talking about tank compatibility 00:00:08 and how products can make or break your farming existence. I've got Johnny Rell, Kevin Matthews, extreme Ag, 00:00:14 and Doug Bauman with VI Crop Protection. Thank you very much for allowing us here. I think this is really cool. Before we hit record on the 00:00:20 camera, Johnny, you said Damien in this jar right here, it's a bunch of particles. It's not obviously in solution versus this. 00:00:27 This can go through my sprayer. This is gonna clog up my sprayer. Encapsulated technology. Yeah, 00:00:32 Encapsulated technology. You know, last year they brought us some products for us to trial. 00:00:36 Never heard of anything like that. It was products that we've been using for year and they just figured out how to encapsulate 'em, 00:00:41 make 'em compatible for about any type of tank mix that we have out there. It's an interesting thing. Most people 00:00:47 that are just driving down, looking at the countryside don't even think about this. You guys think about it because they've had 00:00:52 to clean out a c clogged sprayer. Tell me what I'm talking, what am I holding here? You're the PhD 00:00:56 When you've got that good guy in your right that is active ingredient encapsulated and crusted by our nano polymer technology. 00:01:04 And it's the strongest protection you can give to keep an active ingredient from turning to cottage cheese in really, 00:01:10 really tough conditions. Before We start, we're setting this shoot up, uh, Emily, the marketing gal here at VI said, uh, well Kevin, 00:01:17 have you ever had a compatibility issue in your sprayer? And you said, well, uh, yeah, 00:01:22 Yeah, yeah, the sprayers are bad, but you know this, the asteroid we're putting it in the planter at corn planting. 00:01:28 And I will tell you, you stop in little orifices up, you got a bad day. And and I've done it. I mean I, we've, 00:01:34 we've plugged a planter from one end to the other. Right. So You're using, you're using this in your liquid 00:01:39 application at time of planting? Yeah. I mean it's a fungicide and it works really well. Seasonal protection. 00:01:45 But the neat thing about it is, is it will play well with phosphorous in your infer. A mix. Not very, I mean very few will do that. 00:01:53 I hardly any Compatibility That's a fungicide. But they also had an insecticide that you got to use. Right? Yep. Got to use it. 00:01:59 And they, and they're both are for fertilize. They have FC on them and, uh, fertilize What is Fertilizer compatible compatible? 00:02:06 So the big thing, uh, you know, I I get it. You're, you've got an advanced degree and I said, Hey, let's not geek out too much about this. 00:02:12 Let's talk about why it matters to the farmer. Encapsulated technology is a neat thing, but I don't know why that matters to me. 00:02:18 And that's when you said it matters because Yeah, You get extra, it helps with The coverage on the plants too, right? Yeah. 00:02:23 So in the foliar version of that technology, beautiful deposits, really low contact angle, nice spreading better bioavailability, 00:02:32 faster uptake, all the good things that you want. So The compatibility are a big deal, but also the fact that it makes the particle 00:02:38 smaller, which means, Yeah. And, and the plant uptake, whether it's metabolizing through the roots, the foliar, it's what 00:02:44 John was talking about, the coverage, get higher coverage. It's a big deal. And, 00:02:48 and when you can, we gotta put everything in that pass we can to make it as cheap a pass as we can. We, we, we don't have time for multiple passes. 00:02:56 What are you using this year, both of you on your farms when it comes to the byproducts, the asteroid, I'll 00:03:00 Be running it infer on my corn this year for a fungicide. Yeah. We'll be running the asteroid 00:03:04 and we'll also be using the by Fender product As well. And what does that do? It's 00:03:08 Insecticide. Yeah, insecticide. Yeah. By Fender is a RIN product where that particle size for better coverage. 00:03:14 Yep. 64 times more particles per pound than the leading competitor. So you think about coating that seed bed 00:03:20 and how much coverage you're gonna get, a little goes a long Way. So the thing kinda 00:03:24 like in a an engine, the, the finer particle you can put into your piston the more power you get out 00:03:28 of it. It's kinda a similar concept. Yeah. We had a lot of wireworm issues last year and, and that's one of the reasons that we're targeting 00:03:34 that, that species. I love your visual. Alright. If more, if people wanna learn more about this, where do they go? Yeah. 00:03:40 Vi crop.com. Vive VIVE crop.com. You got it. Got it. He's Doug Bowman.
