00:00:00
So we got our Dura products fast batch system here. This is the venti. They make one that has the pumps on it. This one does not have the pumps to pump the product in.
00:00:11
And uh, we use a venti where this is a about 25 foot from where the shuttles are setting.
00:00:17
We pump it right in through here. Actually it sucks. It right in through the Ventura system does a phenomenal job.
00:00:24
But just kinda give you an idea, if you're looking at going with one of these, what's involved?
00:00:28
How big a job is it to install it? It's pretty simple actually. It comes on this skid right here.
00:00:34
We got the flange connectors, which I'm all about f flanges. I'm, I'm done with the pipe thread stuff.
00:00:40
You got one here on the discharge side and then your suction side over here. You have your flange. You also, you with any flow meter,
00:00:48
you want to have a straight pipe going in, straight coming out. That just keeps the velocity going correctly. More accurate.
00:00:54
Reading on the flow meter, very easy to use. You can just punch it in and out. We'll go over that at another time.
00:01:01
We did decide to mount our own pump right here. You can get this with a pump already mounted on it, but we already had the pump save us some money.
00:01:09
We just kept this like, like we had originally easy flange couplers. Luckily we already used flange couplers before
00:01:17
and it mounted right up. No issues whatsoever. Everything you see is here just like, just like it is in the picture when you get it.
00:01:26
The things that we added, we put quick couplers right here. All quick connects on each one of these.
00:01:31
We done this to make it much easier to clean out. This is where you hook on to do your calibrations. You will need a pump to do your calibrations
00:01:41
to pump from your totes through your flow meter. That is the one time you'll need it. So you'll need one chemical pump so you can do that
00:01:49
and we got a manifold where we can just hook right in. Quick connect, calibrate 'em. How often do you need to calibrate 'em?
00:01:57
Actually we've calibrated 'em one time. We've checked them multiple times and they've not been off. They've stayed on, so that's very impressive.
00:02:05
Again, you're gonna need a good 12 volt source. I highly recommend that you would put you a, um, like a eight gauge wire from your battery back,
00:02:14
put you a circuit breaker up close to the battery, come back here at the back and have you a distri distribution point for each
00:02:21
of your flow meters and you all ball valves, which are plumbed in or wired in right there. That makes it really easy and convenient.
00:02:29
You also have your fuses right here at the back. It goes with each one. We've never blown a fuse, but that's the whole goal is hope
00:02:35
that you don't ever blow 'em. But if you do, it needs to be easy to find, especially if it's at night.
00:02:39
You got your indicators on the ball valves so you can see if they're open or closed. Each one. I really like that part.
00:02:47
How long does it take us to put this thing on to get it ready into operation? Once you decide how you mount it, bolt it down,
00:02:56
then hook your plumbing up a couple hours, you can have This thing up and going. But again, dura products, fast batch Ventura.
00:03:04
I honestly question whether it could suck thick atrazine 20, 30, 40 foot away.
00:03:10
However, it actually is extremely quick, as much faster than where I was pumping it out the totes before.
00:03:18
I'm not having to put it back in and measure it in the inductor each time it measures it. I can suck it right on in and,
00:03:25
and they did, you know, they recommend doing one product at a time. Actually we've done up to three products at the same time.
00:03:31
Zero issues. That impresses me quite a bit. One thing that's really important, you know, it's easy to install this system,
00:03:40
but when you're using this system, you know, why, why do we want to have all this stuff? The the answer to it is, it's what I call a closed system
00:03:49
and I've been building closed systems for myself and my guys to use now for a long time. And when I call it a closed system, I try to buy
00:03:58
as much product in totes or and put it in tanks and then it's used. Everything's closed, it's metered out.
00:04:05
I don't have to worry about getting it on me. I ain't gotta worry about having a bunch of PPE uh, in a good hot day out there.
00:04:12
It's all good because it's totally enclosed, it's totally a closed system and I, you know, the only thing I would ever have
00:04:20
to worry about is possibly a, a breaking a hose or something. But we put new hoses on every couple years for safety,
00:04:27
which is something I encourage you to do. The flush face valves allows you to check and calibrate each one of these flow meters
00:04:36
and it also prevents you from getting exposed. So it, it just ensures that closed system, that good safety part that we want.
00:04:45
Anyhow, if you have any questions, uh, just send us a questions on our email and we'll see if we can work with you
00:04:52
and let us know at x extreme Ag. It's a very reliable product. It is speed, it does speed up the loading times
00:04:59
with our sprayers and it can be set anywhere. It's kind of like a pod. You can, you can move it around, put it anywhere.
00:05:05
We chose quick connects and everything, so if we decide to move it around, we can move it pretty easily.
