Farming Video | Tidal Grow’s Experimental Corn Product Impresses Temple & Kelly

8 Aug 252m 50s

Temple Rhodes and Kelly Garrett are in Huntington, Indiana, walking corn and bean plots ahead of a Tidal Grow Field Day. While discussing product stacking and visual crop response, they spotlight an experimental corn input from Tidal Grow that’s delivering strong early results—particularly in stalk integrity and overall plant health. Temple, based in hurricane-prone conditions, sees real potential in how this new product could influence standability. Both agree it looks good now—but the final call will come at harvest.

00:00:00 Hey, Kelly and Temple. We're here in Huntington, Indiana at Damien's place. We're getting ready for the, uh, 00:00:05 tidal Grove Field Day that we have today. Temple and I are coming out here, get helping Damien get cleaned up and things like that. 00:00:10 And we're going through the plots. We just went through the bean plot and it looks like the sea treatment plus the CFOs 00:00:17 looks pretty incredible. But now we're in the corn and Temple has been out there digging in the dirt, doing his stuff, uh, on 00:00:24 Knees, figuring it out. He's got his shirts. I Mean, I'm actually stuff written on his I I'm clean today. You're the one that's 00:00:28 a little stained up. You're a clean relative to your normal self. That's true. Yes. And tell us what you're seeing in the corn pot. 00:00:34 So, 'cause it's a different result. Right. So again, to back up what Kelly said, you know, sometimes what we see is synergetic, um, things to happen. 00:00:42 And sometimes they're good and sometimes they're bad. What we saw on the bean side, stacking different things necessarily doesn't always work. 00:00:49 Um, and, and the bean plant is very different. But when you stack stuff on corn, what we've seen here, you can actually go down through this plot, Kelly. 00:00:57 And like we saw yesterday, I saw, you know, disease pressure and they got that, that mm-hmm. 00:01:02 That, um, that product spectra, which is kind of like a fungicide booster maybe in some cases could be potentially a fungicide replacement. 00:01:11 You do a lot of this stuff with fungicide replacements. Nutritional, yeah, nutritional. So that's kind of what it, what it, what it's going after. 00:01:17 And it seems like it's really working. But they also did see Foss Oceanic and they stacked them. And as you go down through this plot, it stacks 00:01:25 and it really, like one looks better than the other one. But what I'll tell you is, is there is a different product 00:01:31 put on this last one, and as we come down, it gets better all the way. And then we got here to the end. 00:01:36 The one thing that I saw yesterday was, is there some stalk integrity problems as we come down through that? 00:01:41 And that's varietal, don't get me wrong, it has nothing to do with the products. Right. But it is a, a, it is something that happens 00:01:48 that's inherent to certain varieties and that stalk integrity is in this crop. But when we got to this last one, 00:01:55 there's no stalk integrity problems in this last one. And it changed this variety. And sometimes with some products, we find out 00:02:02 that we can add things that really make a big difference. I'm in hurricane alley, you know what I mean? 00:02:07 So a product like this to me, you know, I know it's a, a experimental product, but this could be a monster changer. And I don't know if that's what they were going after, 00:02:16 but I can promise you that's 150% what's happened down through this plot. The experimental product should be brought 00:02:22 to market. Looks really, really nice. It looks really good. So, um, guys, we'll let you know more about the field day. 00:02:28 We'll let you know more, let you know more, you know, throughout the season. Um, and when we take it to yield, I'm really gonna see it. 00:02:33 But I, my, my money's on this. That sounds great. And my money is on the CFOs in the middle. That's where we're at. 00:02:39 Everything has to be brought to yield and we're gonna find out if Temple can look at it and tell what he knows. 78 00:02:43.775 --> 00:02:44.245
