At Commodity Classic 2025, Chad Henderson from XtremeAg breaks down the top four features that make the CLAAS 8600 series combine a game-changer. First, huge capacity—the 510-bushel grain tank and 5.1 bushels-per-second unloading speed keep harvesting efficient. Second, an automated greasing system reduces maintenance time, requiring just one fill per season. Third, an adjustable unloading spout allows for precise grain placement, improving field efficiency. Lastly, the ultra-comfortable cab features deep seating, excellent visibility, and a built-in refrigerator, making long hours in the field much easier. For high-yield farmers, this combine is built for productivity and comfort.

00:00:00 Four things. Chad Harrison loves about his cloth. 8,600 combine. And you said, man, oh man, I get excited about this. 00:00:07 All right, first off, let's talk about capacity. Yep. We can talk about capacity. This thing holds 510 bushels, so it's a large grain tank. 00:00:13 But what really amps us up when we talk about that is, you know, everybody can put a lot of grain in the tank. Yep. We have extensions on our other machines, 00:00:19 but we gotta unload it fast. If not, we just got a big grain tank that just stays in the tank. 00:00:24 You told me 5.1 bushels per Second. That's what they told me. Now I know it's 00:00:27 fast, I can tell you that it's fast. And then when I look at this, boom, it's, I mean, all these combines nowadays have great big booms, 00:00:33 and I'm sorry, augers, if you will, augers, but then at the end of the auger, you've got a, a, a Flexible adjustable spout on it. 00:00:39 That's really handy when you're trying to top off a grain cart and the guys there beside you, you know, 00:00:43 and you need to throw it over to the other side or put it on this side. It's really handy, Especially if you're in different 00:00:47 terrain and whatever. We can see, And it's automated too, like when you, when you fold dog or out, then it kicks out 00:00:53 and you know, it'll come back to the same spot. And so that's really the, a neat feature when it will move automatically point 00:00:58 Getting huge crops. Obviously you're an stream ag guy, you love pushing yield, so you got a bunch of capacity, 510 bushels. 00:01:03 You got the ability to unload it very, very quickly. Greasing system, this is the one that you told me. Woo. I never wanted to be a mechanic, 00:01:09 but the one thing I wouldn't like climbing around this machine and trying to find all Zers, there's about a million moving parts on a modern combine, 00:01:15 and instead of climbing around and finding a bunch of erks, what do you do? There's just a few erks left. 00:01:18 You know, I found one on the ladder. Um, I think there's one back here on the back, you know, but what I'm saying is this has helped us tremendously. 00:01:27 You know, we've, we've, uh, this is the first machine we've ever owned that had a grease onboard greasing system on it like this. 00:01:33 And I always worried, worried about that. You know, when you start looking at it and you're like, man, I wonder is it greasing enough? 00:01:38 I wonder, is it greasing too much? And then as we got to running, I started noticing, you see just a little bit of dust on it, right? 00:01:43 Where it was greasing at, you know, it wasn't pushing the grease out too far. So, and it has it's multiple functions too, for, 00:01:49 you can set it more grease or less grease. So How do I, I I take this off and fill it? Nope. You, it comes with a hefty, nifty filler 00:01:57 and you just hook to it and push the grease in like a grease tube. Okay. So I get my grease in like a big old, 00:02:02 uh, five bucket or Something? No, you can get it tube same way, and you just push it in. 00:02:05 Fantastic. Or you can get it in a bucket and pull it out and then push it in. But it pushes in just with a tube. 00:02:09 All right. And once I, I do that once every couple of days and then I'm good to go. No, once a season. Oh, 00:02:14 Well that's even better. Yeah. That's good for people like me that don't like to do mechanical work. 00:02:18 Exactly. Last thing that you told me that you loved, and we already shot a video with our friend Kevin, the cab is ultra comfort. 00:02:24 Marie said, you know what, I can sit in there and it's got the deepest seat, and also I'm usually sitting there 00:02:28 with a grandkid on my laps. So you got three people in there and it's comfortable. Why does that matter? Uh, 00:02:33 Well, you know, a lot of the buddy seats, if you would, for the people at side, are real short and they're short 'cause of where you can get access to 00:02:40 get in and outta the cab. Well, this is probably the deepest one. And to us, we're running machinery, really don't matter. 00:02:45 But when my wife's sitting in there, yeah, we got a grand baby in her lap. It matters to her. And I want my grand babies. 00:02:50 You know, I, I wouldn't say one want my wife, but I want, I want 'em to ride with me. You Only grandkids to be in there with you too. Yeah. 00:02:55 You know, and it's got refrigerator in it, you know, which a lot of 'em do. But, and then the, the visibility of it is par too. 00:03:01 I mean, it's, it does a really good job. You still got the wind over the side where you can see, physically see the tailings. 00:03:07 That's important when you're operating. You need to see the tailings, you need to see what's coming through that glass on it. 00:03:12 Comfortable, but also great visibility. Uh, greasing system makes your life easier from a mechanical maintenance standpoint. 00:03:18 Huge capacity and the ability to get rid of that capacity quickly. Yep.
