Hey y'all, it's Chad Henderson with Extreme Ag and I wanna talk just a second about Estes Concaves. You know, we've been running these things
00:00:05
for several years now. We've had the first ones, the twos, now we're in some of the threes and we've got, like, this machine
00:00:11
behind us has a set of threes in it. Um, one at the shop has twos. We still have one with OEMs,
00:00:16
but we keep that in there just to make sure, uh, the checks and balances and what these machines run like every year
00:00:22
surprised us how much better the grain flow is in one of them, or you know, we keep tweaking on them. And the efficiency that you get outta the machine.
00:00:30
You know, we was, we start out and we was running 12 row header with this seven 80 behind us and we was able to put a 16 row header on it just
00:00:38
because we switched over to Scon caves at the same flow, at the same speed. It gives us that much more ground speed
00:00:45
and that much more flow through the machine, you know, and it does a really good job with the grain, uh, handling itself and also with the grain quality.
00:00:55
You know, it just gives you a pretty good window to use. 'cause a lot of times the rotor will be a lot slower,
00:00:59
so the conditioning of the grain will be real good, you know, so that's just a few things. Y'all look into them things. If not, give me a holler.
00:01:07
Give them boys, ss a holler. They'll clean the ground up. Start a bird to death
00:01:24
As you see here where the machine just went by. If you look here, we got one kernel here. Here's a kernel. We got a little, that one's a little fast,
00:01:32
but we've got a couple kernels. One, two, there's, there's about three to four in that square there.
00:01:38
Well, that's acceptable 'cause we don't know how much is coming off the header. You know, we can go over there and start looking
00:01:42
and get right behind the machine on header loss. We're looking at corn here that's under 15%. So it's really hard to keep from a little bit of shatter.
00:01:50
And this is good corn here also. But they do an exceptional job and that's what we're looking for.
