Matt Miles and Kevin Matthews stop by the Teva booth at the Commodity Classic to talk about what's new with Carbon Catalysts and PGRs.

00:00:00 So we're here to Commodity classic 2025. Uh, we're here with Tiva and uh, Kevin Matthews, Matt Miles and, and, uh, mark Kochs. 00:00:09 Dan, what's the big buzz word now? Carbon ppr. That's something we've been hearing for the last few years that everybody's kind of trying 00:00:16 to dip their hand into is the PDR and the carbon. Mark can talk about this. He's got quality products in those two areas we've been 00:00:24 using CA for when carbon wasn't even cool. Right. You know, so we really Didn't even know what we was doing. Didn't even 00:00:29 Know what he was doing. Mark said this is gonna work and I trust the man. So that's what we're doing. 00:00:33 Got ROI on at the end and the carbon market sales market now? No, through the roof, I guess 00:00:39 for everybody in our brother's got a carbon. Yeah. Tell us the difference in your carbon versus some of the other carbons that are out there. Yeah, 00:00:45 So a big part of how we make CA we're targeting the fulvic acid. Yeah. It's 109 step process that we do in making it. 00:00:53 Uh, it's got a neutral pH. It's uh, you know, it's been screened through an 80 mesh screen twice. 00:00:58 So those are just some of the things that matter. But we've got, the biggest thing is we've been at this for 45 years, so we've got a lot of data over a lot of years 00:01:06 where a lot of the companies, like you said, are just coming in new, you know, and so we've made a lot of mistakes 00:01:11 and we've learned how to fix those mistakes that we've done over time. So, you know, we feel very confident with that product. 00:01:16 It's, it's our flagship product. And the one that I think, uh, has will always give a guy a good ROI 00:01:23 and I think that proves out from what, you know, extreme ag guys, all the ones that you guys have used, have seen that, you know, 00:01:28 in your results that you guys have done. Well, The biggest thing is two things. You know, we put it across a grower standard on our farm 00:01:35 that, that says a lot. Yeah. We don't, our farm, we don't put out any hydrogen without CA involved. The pork acres we run, you can run, you know, higher, 00:01:45 whatever you pocketbook could afford. But, you know, I, I was just thinking about the 45 year deal. 00:01:50 That's pretty impressive. You held up pretty good up here. I I know you got a lot more iron up. 00:01:55 Stressful. The greatest has starting to come in, boys. This old mustache started to turn white more than it was back in the day. 00:02:00 But my dad started in 79. I started full-time in 89. So it's 35 years. Be Your Son's. And my son's 00:02:07 in it. He's, he's been in it for 12 or 13 years now. So we are a third generation, you know, family owned company, you know, and I, I take pride in that. 00:02:15 That's something that not a lot of companies can say, you know? That's right. So, uh, It's kinda like our farms. 00:02:20 I mean, you know, we got generations, you know, going to the farm. Same thing that you, that 00:02:24 you're doing, you know, with the company. We guys, you're there, you're farm president all the time. I mean owner, the company, you're also there on the farm 00:02:32 getting advice from Kevin on what to do with another customer, getting advice for another customer, what to do on me. 00:02:37 Yeah. You know, you network all your customers together, which makes us all do better in the end. 00:02:42 Look guys, I say this all the time. I wanna be more important to you guys than what I sell you. And yes, I make a living off of what we sell, 00:02:48 but if I, that's all I got to offer, then I'm not much. I want to be more than what I sell you guys, you know, so, alright, 00:02:54 PGRs. Yep. Everyone of 'em the same. We're all 'em different? No, they're all kind of different. 00:02:58 You know, the biggest thing is most of the PGRs out there are some percent of ox oxygens, gibs or Cytokinins or something like that. 00:03:05 Were, and most of those are all synthetically made. Our complex is a bio stimulant. It's actually made from a desert plant. 00:03:13 It has 10 of the 16 amino acids in it. And what that does, it basically stimulates the plant to produce, produce its own oxen, gills and cytokine. 00:03:22 And so you don't have to worry about the timing with that. Some of them, if they have glic acid you can only use in 00:03:27 vegetative cytokines is for, uh, for uh, reproduction with complex. You can use it year round 00:03:33 because the plant knows which ones it needs at any time. So the plant will regulate which ones it wants to use. 00:03:38 So that's what makes it more unique than that. And we've got lots of trials on, lots of the different, you know, PDR out there on the market 00:03:45 and we've done very well and our economics behind ours is much better than most of the others on that. 00:03:50 And I mean, that's a sidebar, you know, it has to work. But there's some new work coming out on it that I've just been able to tell you guys in the last month 00:03:58 that within three hours of putting complex on, we're actually expressing over 1,250 genes in that plant in like eight different 00:04:06 categories, which is huge. You know, so it's scientific proof. It's doing what it's supposed to be doing 00:04:10 what we've been seeing in the field with it and Everything. Scientific proof and it's almost foolproof. Yeah. 00:04:15 'cause you can get in some pretty serious boo booo with the wrong PGR at the wrong time. And I've been hardheaded 'cause 00:04:21 you've been using it for a long time. And I've used, I've got very little experience with it. 'cause with our disease, I'm so focused on this is 00:04:27 how I've done it and this is a new, you know, I know I don't want them gibs at this time. I know I want the Cytocons here 00:04:34 and this is really in a tight market like we got this year, I can kind of have one product in the warehouse 00:04:41 and if everything looks good, I can use it. And price comparative mark. I mean, uh, map from my understanding, 00:04:48 this is very dang competitive. Yeah. When we first, we didn't even know what PGRs were of the mangrove regulators for cotton Keep our cotton short. 00:04:56 Uh, we, we started testing a certain PGR and it was an increase in yield. So we at that point, mark, come to us, he said, Hey, 00:05:04 we've got this product called Complex, we'd like to try two. So we did probably 50 trials across our farm. 00:05:11 It won majority of the time, it was about half the cost of what the other competitor was. 00:05:16 So at that point we're like, it's a no brainer, you know, plus the fact that we're bigger. 00:05:21 So we're, we got a lot of other people in our operation making decisions. This is something that you don't have 00:05:26 to worry about making a decision on. Put it in the tank at the right time. Use any time. It makes no 00:05:31 Sense me at all. Yeah. Yeah. So we're very happy with it and we are actually doing some new technology with it, 00:05:36 some nanotechnology that we're developing with it. We've started that research last year. We're gonna continue doing that research with you guys 00:05:44 and some other people this year because we don't like to base, uh, one year data and go sell something we like to get like, 00:05:51 three years before we do it. So we got some exciting things, we had some good results with it and we had some mixed results with it, you know, so 00:05:57 that's why you gotta keep doing testing with it, you know, to make sure that it's gonna be right for the farmer to use. 00:06:02 You know, because as you said, look, I I don't wanna sell you something that's not gonna bring you money. 00:06:06 So yes, I may talk myself outta a sale because I want to do what's right for you guys. You know, I, I would rather not sell 00:06:11 and than, than to do something wrong just to make a sale. It's just not worth it. Well, and in these times it's even more important. Yeah. 00:06:17 You know, I've appreciated that for several years that if it, if you don't think it's gonna work on our farm, you'll tell us not to use us. 00:06:24 But in this year it may be the difference of getting a crop blown or not in 26. So we appreciate what you do there as far 00:06:30 as honesty applies and what you do And Yeah. He's recommended a lot of products that he had no, 00:06:37 no connection to whatsoever because he's seen the performance in it and it would create ROI for us. 00:06:42 Right. And that goes hand in hand with what you just said and this economy, I, that's just for relationship, you know? 00:06:48 Yep. Had anyhow, yeah, we're very grateful to extreme ag to be working with 'em, that they chose to work with us 00:06:54 and, um, the proof's in the pudding and uh, it's definitely a product that will show up and show out. 00:07:00 How can you get ahold of you? Just, uh, go to our website. Uh, my number's on there, you'll get me when you call. 00:07:05 I'm, like I said, I'm the owner and the CEO of the company. So give me a call. I'd be glad to get back with you, 00:07:11 get you in touch with the right guys. So There You have it. The doctor 00:07:14.735 --> 00:07:15.605
