Hey guys, Matt Miles on behalf of XtremeAg. We're here in one of our trials today. This is a Vive trial with a product called Everland.
00:00:12
We're real excited about this. If you farm in the Mid-South or you farm in very many sandy soils, you grow soybeans, you're going to have root-knot nematodes.
00:00:20
That's just almost a fact. That's something we battle. That's probably one of our biggest yield robbers is root-knot nematodes and soybeans.
00:00:30
So we're kind of doing a late mid-season or late early season comparison here is what we're doing.
00:00:37
So we've got Everland plus two different competitors that we're looking at, and these beans are at R3. So we
00:00:45
just put a fertility application on it, which has nothing to do with what we're talking about today, but that's what we've done here lately with
00:00:53
the insecticide pass. So we're going to dig up some roots. We're going to show you the competitors versus the Everland from Vive
00:01:00
and see what kind of comparisons we come up with. So guys, we got the plants all dug up, and you know when you dig up plants, we dug out as far as we could. Still could feel roots
00:01:11
breaking, but each one of them we've done similar. This is your Everland by Vive. This is a new competitor that's really not even got a name yet.
00:01:21
This is an additional competitor that was our grower standard practice for many years. So if you look at the roots, and Lane's going to pan down where you can kind of see
00:01:32
the bottom of them, not a whole lot of difference. All of them have plenty of nodules on them. All of them are in an extremely high root-knot nematode
00:01:42
field. So we feel really, really great about the control with each three of these. I would say the middle one's probably a little less mass root system than the other two, but they all look
00:01:54
good. Without doing a bunch of weights and things like that, you really can't see a whole lot of difference. The difference is
00:02:02
the Everland from Vive is about half price. So you can figure yields or you can figure ROI. We try to figure a lot on ROI because that's what you take to the bank.
00:02:13
For the money at this stage, which like I said earlier, is kind of a mid early, we'll do another one around R6 just
00:02:21
to kind of see. The money's what we got to have. So, compared on what we see right now, this right here is the one that looks the best, which is the one that we're
00:02:31
actually testing. It's new. It's a first-year label for soybeans, so if we can get this kind of root system out of this for the price that we're paying, I think it's
