Farming Video | Seed Treatment Trial With Blueprint | XtremeAg

5 May 251m 26s

Chad Henderson from XtremeAg discusses ongoing product trials on his farm, focusing on "Blueprint," a mycorrhizal fungi treatment applied as a dry seed coating. The trial evaluates its compatibility with planter systems and its role in improving nutrient uptake, especially phosphorus, under stress conditions like drought. Blueprint is applied first, followed later by "Source" to activate microbial functions. Early impressions show no issues with equipment and promising performance in dusty, tough soil environments. Henderson plans to continue testing Blueprint, particularly in rough, river bottom soils.

00:00:00 Hey y'all, this is Chad Henderson with Extreme Ag and the day is trial day, which for most of us, most every day seem to be some kind of trial day, 00:00:06 whether it's trialing something that ain't working or trialing products, you know, that we are, that we got, uh, sponsors with 00:00:13 or partners with, however you wanna call it. But today, the couple that we're using, one is what we're gonna talk about now is Blueprint. 00:00:20 And it's like it's from Source, you know, or Sound, ag, you've heard of Source. And so we'll treat the blueprint first on the seed. 00:00:27 It's dry, goes on with the powder, and then we'll turn around and then we'll use source later. But the blueprint today seems to be working good. 00:00:34 I hadn't had any trouble outta my monitors, hadn't had any trouble outta my electric planter, you know, when the brushes and eyes, 00:00:39 because it's a lot of dust going through there. So what it's trying to do, it's a A MF, so it's a fungi and it goes down on root system 00:00:46 and it'll go away from the roots and then it's ready to pick up maybe phosphorus or it's ready to pick up other things, 00:00:52 especially in droughty conditions. And then when you come back and spray the source on it, then it's kind of triggering that now. 00:00:57 So that's the best of my knowledge on it. We're working toward it and I'm definitely not a scientist on that part, but I'll dang show try it. 00:01:05 And that's what we do here at Extreme Ag. So stay tuned. We've been on this blueprint, 00:01:09 we're gonna keep it down here in the river bottoms. They said Rough soils, droughty soils, good soils. Well, I'm dang show. Gonna put on some rough soil. 00:01:16 So y'all hang in there stream ag 00:01:18.885 --> 00:01:21.065
