Kelly Garrett changed out his factory concaves and installed the new XPR2 Concaves from Estes Performance Concaves. He saw an immediate difference in combine efficiency and he is even more excited that he doesn't have to change them out for bean and corn harvest.
Kelly Garrett talks about his population strategy and breaks down how utilizing variable rate technology and smaller populations might result in a higher overall ROI for your farm.
Finding the right population is critical when it comes to maximizing your yield. Dan takes advantage of a planter error to get a firsthand look at the potential of a soybean plant that is given space to grow.
Dan examines the sunlight competition and difference between his outside row and inside row corn plants and talks about plant potential in space.
Kevin gives us a look at some of the key features and design attribute of the new XPR2 Performance Concaves from Estes Performance Concaves. Yield loss has been an issue for Kevin with factory concaves and he these new concaves from Estes are the right solution. Not to mention they allow him to thresh all crops with one concave.
Look who we found wandering around Kelly Garrett's bean field today! The Arkansas State Soybean yield record holder, Matt Miles, stopped by to pay a visit to fellow XtremeAg team member Kelly Garrett and the two of them got right down to talking beans and showing off their new fashion styles.
Matt Miles planted his corn crop well in advance of his neighbors to the north and he is gonna break out the combine in just a few weeks or less. Today he is heading into the field to run some moisture level checks on his corn crop to see how far off he is from opening up the field with his combine.
Kevin and Reid Abbott take a look at Kevin's corn crop and talk about the trial product from AgroLiquids he is using this year. Reid shares details on a new potassium-based calcium product that AgroLiquids is scheduled to make available to growers for next season.
Reid Abbott, agronomy manager for AgroLiquid, stopped by to talk soybeans with Kevin this week. Reid said these are the best looking soybeans he's seen. They discuss stem growth, nodulation, foliar applications and micro nutrient packages from AgroLiquids.
