Farmers are working diligently to get fungicide on the crops at the proper timing. XtremeAg farmers Chad Henderson, Dan Luepkes, and Lee Lubbers share their crops progress in Alabama, Illinois, and South Dakota. Kevin gives us a look at some of the key features and design attribute of the new XPR2 Performance Concaves from Estes Performance Concaves. Yield loss has been an issue for Kevin with factory concaves and he these new concaves from Estes are the right solution. Not to mention they allow him to thresh all crops with one concave.
Look who we found wandering around Kelly Garrett's bean field today! The Arkansas State Soybean yield record holder, Matt Miles, stopped by to pay a visit to fellow XtremeAg team member Kelly Garrett and the two of them got right down to talking beans and showing off their new fashion styles.
Matt Miles planted his corn crop well in advance of his neighbors to the north and he is gonna break out the combine in just a few weeks or less. Today he is heading into the field to run some moisture level checks on his corn crop to see how far off he is from opening up the field with his combine.
Kevin and Reid Abbott take a look at Kevin's corn crop and talk about the trial product from AgroLiquids he is using this year. Reid shares details on a new potassium-based calcium product that AgroLiquids is scheduled to make available to growers for next season.
Reid Abbott, agronomy manager for AgroLiquid, stopped by to talk soybeans with Kevin this week. Reid said these are the best looking soybeans he's seen. They discuss stem growth, nodulation, foliar applications and micro nutrient packages from AgroLiquids.
With a little help from NACHURS, Dan is trying out a few different styles in this soybean strip trial and having some fun doing it. Become a member to see the results later this season.
Farmers Kelly Garrett, Matt Miles, and Kevin Matthews of Xtreme Ag report on their crops’ progress in Iowa, Arkansas, and North Carolina, respectively. Xtreme Ag is led by six producers who’ve come together from across the country to share what they’ve learned with other farmers. Temperatures reached 90°F. or higher in many corn growing states last week. A week ago, USDA’s Crop Progress Report indicated 69% of U.S. corn was in good to excellent condition. Soybeans were also 69% good to excellent last Monday.
