Kelly Garrett has learned a lot about his soil this year from working with Mike Evans from Integrated Ag Solutions and Jason and Bodie from Next Level Ag. Perhaps most important is the key learning that soil fertility needs soil energy in order to create plant available nutrients. In this member video, Kelly talks about his plan to create more energy in the soil before planting season.

Lee takes a look at the yield variability in one of his soybean plots that is resulting from differing soil types. From 30-40 bpa beans to 70+ bpa beans in a matter of a few feet. With no rain for nearly 8 weeks, his soybeans went through their reproductive stage without a drink.

He's got the field all cleaned out and is drilling his cover crop back into it. It's been a pretty productive field for Dan this season.
